NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

I have somewhat of a dilemma. Back in February, we purchased four (4) $500 Disney gift cards from BJ's Wholesale. However, we only received 3 even tho the invoice clearly states there should have been 4. I contacted BJ's and informed them of the issue. They refused to credit us for the missing gift card and advised us to contact the credit card company. The credit card company (Capital One) says they will look into it but it is ultimately up to BJ's. I have my suspicions as to what could have happened. But what I would like to know is if there is any way Disney or the companies selling the Disney gift cards can trace the gift cards to see if they have been used. I feel like I am caught between a rock and a hard place in recouping my money. If they can do this to us, they can do it to you. Any constructive advice would be very much appreciated! I don't particularly like being forced to pay for someone else to enjoy Disney on my dime. TIA!

They can absolutely look at the numbers on the cards that were mailed to you, and see if they've been used. Several years back I had gift card fraud via USPS in this way -- they'd drained the cards before I even got them in my mailbox. One time it WAS someone local at a local store. I stopped having gift cards shipped to me after the third time this happened.

Amazon have a good amount of gift cards and egift cards on offer.

Some notable ones for international guests as egift

15% off Lyft $100 card
10% off Uber $50 card
$10 off Bath & body works $50
15% off Doordash $50 card
$5 off a Victoria secrets $50 card
$10 off ihop $50 card
$15 off Landry's $100 card
DoC reminder Chase Freedom is 5x on Amazon this quarter. Also here is his link to check if you have any shop with points bonuses to stack here.

Read up on this FTC info. By law you will not have to pay for something you didn't receive when you paid by personal cc if you file a dispute within the 60 day time frame- so don't waste anymore time on this beyond filing the dispute with Capital One. I'm assuming you filed a dispute not just talked to some customer service rep? Like you have a confirmation from Cap1 that a dispute has been filed? (You can dispute part of a charge, which is what you would do here for the part of the merch order that wasn't received.)

Disney cannot tell you what card numbers were shipped to you, only the merchant can. However, the ball is in BJ's court right now. Until the number is disclosed (which will come out if they respond to Cap1 and attempt to prove you got your merch) there is nothing that can be done by you or Disney.

Walmart is working hard to capture AmEx spend. In addition to the comped Walmart+ monthly fee, my AmEx Plat offers today featured this one:

Earn 25% back as a statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Platinum Card® to make purchases online at Walmart.com by 5/22/2025. Limit of $25 back in total statement credits. See terms.

We enjoy going to “Earl of Sandwich” in Disney Springs
and have bought the packaged cake slices from “Carlos Bakery” for $10.95 (might have gone up by now). It was a nice surprise to see these same packaged cake slices in the refrigerated section of the bakery in our local Walmart this morning for $3.95!

what is the strategy/possibility of being able to buy more than 4 DGCs from Sam’s tomorrow?

If you’re new to Sam’s, you can get a 15-day trial membership.
If I sign up for a free trial today (have never been a Sam's member), I'll be eligible to purchase four $200 DGC for $180 each (pending availability), and then be able to cancel the trial before the end of the trial to avoid the $50 yearly fee?

i thought that i read the trials had a 10% surcharge on any purchase made? is that not correct? that would ultimately negate the savings

Bought some 5% (regular) DGC on 4/7 so I’m locked out of the Sam’s Club promo! So annoying!

With a little bit of cash back the savings will be over 10% so it's definitely worth it. Gonna grab me the maximum as I already have a membership!

I see that for "Sam's Club Guest Membership": Guest membership charges a 10% service fee / surcharge per online order.

But I don't see that in the free trial terms and conditions? 🤔
