I ended up removing it from my cart and clicking through at exactly 11am and was able to buy it for $80!

I did the same but since I had already "verified" my account earlier when I put it in the cart, it did allow me to skip that step.

Set up the alert thanks to the heads up from here a while back, added to my cart at exactly 11am ET and after two snafus that I thought for sure would mess me up (despite being logged in, got a prompt for my Best Buy password which I didn’t remember and then had to reset and then got a fraud alert for my credit card so had to switch to a second one) I somehow got one!
