I called around 8:30 am today on my way to work and the cm told me that they would be releasing some special deals on march 9th
to the public. I hope she is right.

That is close to the date that there was another package deal rumored to be coming out. I think they said March 11th.

AAA is offering some great deals during Fall value season right now....
$61.60 for all star pr night
$106.40 for Port Orleans per night

and they told me if a better deal comes along you can apply or upgrade it to the existing ressie.

also said you can cancel up to a week before without losing your deposit.

I'm looking for late October!

This year the only way we'll get to WDW is if we come across an "offer you can't refuse" kinda deal!

I'm a Day One Disney Visa cardholder so the 7-for-4 doesn't work for me.

It's probably one of the Disney cardholder deals that is now going to open to the general public. Usually, the special rates for the "select group" eventually filter down to general public. Thereafter the APs come out.

Last year I had MKC discount, then a select group code, then yet another code, and finally on 4/21 an AP. Why there isn't a better system in place is beyond me--all of these reservations changes have to cause endless nightmares for reservations staff.

Anyway, a general public code for room only or package wouldn't surprise me one bit. Only supposition though. . .no insider information here.

I just booked a room at the WL for the Dec. 4-11th with a AAA discount. I had to book Woodsview, the standard rooms were all sold out. The reservationist was very nice and told me to "watch my newspapers and/or website" in either September/October for some deals that will probably be better than the AAA discount. I didn't really pry, but she mentioned it several times in our conversation and kept saying, sometime in September or October, so who knows?!? It was almost as if she was trying to say "Hint Hint!, watch for discounts in those months(for my travel period anyway). I don't think I was dreaming it, I suppose it could have been wishful thinking, but I suppose only time will tell!!

I was just on another board and the consultant for the travel company said that there will be a summerdreamaker discounted package on 3/9/04 as well as a room only discount.

My DM said she saw a commercial this morning for Disney hotels from $77 a night - sounds like they might have released something today.

I read the same info from that other board and I think she is giving us correct info. She would not put out information if she wasn't sure because so many people are relying on her.
I'm going to keep up with her postings to make sure the 9th is our lucky day.

Thats what the value resorts are in Value season.They start at 77.00 a night.

It is driving us crazy. By this time last year we already had the resort and flight booked and our ap's were in the mail. This Dec it's just going to be the girls and we have no idea where to stay we would love AKL but 306.00 a night is to high. We also were looking in to POFQ but we can't wait until some discounts are released so we can make up our minds. We are keeping are fingers crossed for everyone
