New discount for travel 8/15-9/29

Thank you! I finally woke up and saw it I didn't notice it was at the top of the page where you put the dates in. I didn't know the code was for room only and packages.

Does anyone think AoA might be added to the discount like it was for the previous code? I seem to remember at first AoA wasn't included and then it was. (I'm referring to the room only code that expires on 8/14)

Splitting trip between Bay Lake and Poly. Looks like the Poly discount was added successfully, but Bay Lake is only 5.2%?

I'm assuming that the Deluxe Villas @ Deluxe Resorts (i.e. Bay Lake @ Contemporary) fall under their respective Deluxe Resorts? Not sure why the discount wouldn't be 20% for Bay Lake.

I ran into the same thing when I was looking to book July 4th - the discounts on the deluxes and DVC's varied from 5% to 25%, and 5% off a deluxe or DVC isn't very helpful, is it? I felt I was lucky that I got a TPV at CR for 20% off (can't wait to watch the special fireworks from my balcony!).

They base the discounts on which resorts they want to fill. If they give Poly a 25% discount and BLT a 5% discount, then they are trying to stear people to Poly because their occupancy is lower. I've found in the last year or so, that they tweek these numbers as the promotion goes on. You never go above the maximum discount they mention, but you may see a resort go from 5% to 10% or 20%, or vice versa.

I just switched my reservation to the 30% off, and saved $1,000 on YC Very happy!

oh well! i planned for, budgeted, and booked this trip at the price i currently have (and can have it paid in full long beofre we go)
it's just torture to miss out on savings!!!!

Only one of you has to actually be there to check in. You could fly in on the 29th and check in for everyone, starting your stay on the 29th. That way your entire family would get free dining for the length of your vacation for the cost of one additional nights stay.

I'll keep checking as time goes by to see if the discount fluctuates. We're considering switching over to a Contemporary Room or just doing the entire stay at the Polynesian if the discount stays as is. I really do want to stay in a Theme Park View at BLT at least once however.

i did (briefly) consider that....but it is #1 a surpirse trip, #2 a first visit and #3 a first airplane trip
DH could NOT stand to miss out on all of that...not even to save $840!!!!

I remember when as an AP holder I could get the Deluxes for 49% off. I know one year I got a courtyard view at WL and a Savana view at AKL both for $149.00/night. Looks like those days are loooong gone.

YUP! I remember those days! I got a 45% AP at Poly, WL & AKL.

Last Aug I did get a 40% at BC, and in Jan 2012 a 40% at WL. I guess I'm one of the few not very excited about this latest round of discounts. WL 5% And 30% deluxe- meh. We booked AKL at 35% for this Aug with BB offer, guess we'll be keeping that.

I really hope you are all having luck! I guess they have no problem filling the rooms at FQ since its such a small resort compared to the other 3 resorts. I was at least expecting to get more than a 5% discount when the room discounts came out. So instead, I switched to POR Royal Guest Room garden view for less than it cost for my original package, standard room at FQ 9/23-9/28. I was very happy about that. i was not expecting that and those rooms look awesome.

The CM I talked to gave me a quote of $557.91 which she said was a 20% discount, but the numbers aren't adding up. 20% off a standard view (cheapest option) is $469.60 and 20% off a river view (most expensive option) is $550.40.

5% off a standard view is $557.65 which is the closest price I could find to her quote.

I'm planning on calling back at some point to get another quote.
