Hello All- Disney's new ad in todays Travel section is for select AllStars @ rate of 55.00 per night for stays 11/03/02-11/25/02 and 11/30/02-12/25/02. must be booked by 10/28/02. code is BBK, and is for anyone.

I can not believe the rates they are offering. I hope it continues for next year. I can not go this year, but am planning to take the family down in mid-January.

That sounds right. Last Janaury I paid $55 a night (including taxes) at ASMo using an AP discount.

I called and tried to get this rate for my Dec trip. ASMo is not participating

My family went last November and stayed for $49 a night at the All Star Music. We wanted the All Star Movie, but they weren't participating in that special. We just stayed in the music for such a great price!!! We are going next month for that $55 special at the music resort again, and again the Alll Star Movie isn't participating in the special. However, who cares if it is music or movies?!?!?! Staying inside Disney for that price is WONDERFUL!!!

I already have a trip booked @ASMo for 11/10 - 11/16. Paid $1919.88 for 4 people Unlimited Magic Pkg.. Do you think it would be worthwhile to try to change it? This was the Disney Club price at the time I booked it.

ellyn, check to see if your dates are included and how much it would be. If it's cheaper, make a phone call. All they can do is say sorry....

I know this is probably a stupid question, but I've decided to ask it anyway...:teeth:

I am a new Disney Club member (just in time  ) so I'm still getting familiar with how everything works. When they advertise rates like $55/night, would DC members still get a % off of that rate, or would we get a % off of the "regular" rate ($99/night?)?

Again, sorry to ask such a basic question but I'm trying to plan a trip for December and just wanted to make sure I understood how everything works.

Thanks!

HuggaBaloo, You would not get the discount and a % off of that. You have to either book with the DC discount or the code. The code is most likely a better rate. $55.00 is a very good rate.

Thanks Disneycrazymom! That's what I figured would be the answer but just wanted to make sure. It makes me wonder how I can save any money on reservations through the club since I only visint the World during non-peak times. Like you said, it seems that the specials they advertise during these times are usually (if not always) a better deal than using the DC discount off the regular rate. Oh well, I guess I won't have to worry about that much longer with the DC expiring next year, will I? :D

Again, thanks for the reply!

Ellyn, before I booked I figured it up several different ways. I came out the cheapest booking the hotel with the code and buying the tickets separately. However, the All Star Movie is not included in the $55 special. It is only sports or music. We are staying in Music and we will be there the same days as you: 11/11 thru 11/18.:bounce:

Hello ellyn2000- From your posts it looks like you are staying at AllStars for 5 nights? That would be 275.00 leaving about 1,644.00. Thats around 411.00 each for tickets. You could get Annual passes for that price and be able to go again within 1 year at no costs for park tickets. Although the packages are good, you usually can do better buying everything separately. Just a note, annual pass rates are sometimes better then current codes out now, and only 1 member of your group needs an AP to get the AP rates.

Thanks so much for the help. I called this morning and booked room only for 6 nights and then purchased 5 day park hoppers (4 adults going) and saved $500.00 off the price I had already paid! We planned to outlet shop and eat @Planet Hollywood on arrival day, so the unlimited pass was wasted for that day anyway. I was told they'll credit my credit card within 7 days for the pkg. I had already booked and they cancelled that with no problems. The only thing I "lost" was the one flex feature per person, but we were using that for a character meal, and we can certainly afford that with the $500.00 being credited back to my card. Thanks again for the help. I love this place!
