Concert
We-Sarah, and I-just turned 21, while Jasper just turned 22. Sam’s the youngest, she’s only 20. I was bored one day and I looked up on Rascal Flatts’ website to look at their tour dates. I saw one for Illinois. Just a few days until now. I so doubt I’ll get good tickets! I tried anyway. I got first row! I couldn’t believe it! It wasn’t that expensive, and of course, Jasper would have to come along. I called Sam and Sarah. They said that they’d love to see the concert. Only problem, I don’t have Jasper’s number. I went on the DIS to see if he was still on. He was online! So I sent him a private message saying that Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift were coming in a few days. I asked him if he wanted to come along. He said “Yes! I would love it. Do I have to pay for the ticket?” I replied “No, I’ll pay for it.” “At least I’ll pay for half of it,” he typed back. “All right, $40 then,” I lied. The tickets were well over $100. I had enough money to pay for everyone-including myself. One night Sam, Sarah and I talked on the phone.
“I can’t wait until the concert!” Sam said loudly.
“I don’t really care,” Sarah said.
“Yeah, you’ll get high on coke,” I joked.
“Probably will!” Sam said laughing.
“No, I won’t,” Sarah said in a quiet voice.
“Yeah, whatever. So, Allie, how do you feel about Jasper coming along?” Sam said.
“Uhm, like, freaked out?!” I said in an excited voice.
“She’d probably try to kiss him!” Sarah said randomly.
“I would not,” I lied.
“You would and we know it!” Sam said back.
“Yeah,” Sarah said agreeing.
“Okay, fine, I probably will try to kiss him. But I don’t even know if he likes me that way,” I said not really sure.
“He does, Allie,” Sam assured.
“He probably does, he’s just too shy,” Sarah agreed.
“Like you, Sarah?” Sam and I said at the same time.
“No,” Sarah said in a small voice. We continued to talk on the phone for a few hours. Me gushing about how I couldn’t wait to see Jasper. Sam gushing about how she might see Joe Jonas. And Sarah just agreeing to everything we said.
The days went by and then finally the day came. Sam flew from Massachusetts. Sarah flew from Florida. And Jasper just drived to Illinois. It didn’t take him that long to drive here. I arrived at the concert early. When I just got out of my car, I saw Sam and Sarah. “OMG!” we all screamed.
“Where’s Jasper?” Sam asked in a love-y voice.
“I-I don’t know,” I stuttered. I told him where everything was at.
“Hi,” Sarah said finally.
“Hi!” I screamed. I was totally pysced for this show, especially knowing I’ll get to see Jasper!
“Let’s keep walking. We’ll find him sooner or later,” Sam said as she started walking.
“You’re right,” I said trying to believe it. We kept on walking for a few minutes.
“I found a penny!” Sarah yelled.
“Eww, Sarah! Don’t touch it! Noah probably touched it!” Sam shrieked.
“OMG!!” Sarah said loudly as she threw the penny far away. It hit a guy on the head.
“Is..that, who I think it is?” I whispered to Sam.
“I don’t know, Allie,” Sam said back.
“Allie!” he yelled. Holy ****. It’s Jasperrrrrr!
“Oh god, Allie’s gonna go insane,” Sam whispered. Sarah laughed.
“Billy! OMG!” I said as I ran up to him. I hugged him in a huge bear hug. He didn’t really expect that but do you think I cared at that moment? Hell no.
“I got hit with a penny,” Jasper said as he looked at Sarah.
“Sorry,” Sarah said. She looked down at the floor.
“To the concert!” I yelled. I gave everyone their tickets. We got in a few minutes later. Jasper screamed.
“What?” I said shocked by his random screaming.
“WE NEED TO BUY TAYLOR SWIFT T-SHIRTS!!” Jasper said as loud as he could.
“OMG, yes!” Sam said agreeing with him. We all ran towards the concert gear area. We all picked out a gray one-since Jasper said that it had the best picture of Taylor out of all of the shirts. We bought the shirts then we went towards our seats. “These seats are amazing!” Sarah said loudly.
“Are you ready to see Taylor Swift?” someone yelled. The whole stadium went insane. Tons of screaming, the loudest HAD to been from Jasper, though!
“OMG TAYLOR SWIFFFFFFFFFFFT!” Jasper yelled.
“BILLY! She isn’t even on stage yet!” I yelled at him as I stared into his eyes. I suddenly felt calm. Calm at a Rascal Flatts concert? That’s insane, I know!
“SO?!” he said. Taylor Swift started walking on stage. Jasper started screaming. He was so close to fainting. Don’t faint. Just please..don’t faint on me!
“BILLY!” I screamed.
“WHAT?” he said.
“DON’T FAINT ON ME, OKAY?” I said.
“I’ll try not to!” he said in a happy voice. It got all quiet. The guitarist played the opening chords to Picture To Burn.
“ARE YOU READY TO ROCK CHICAGO?!” Taylor yelled at the top of her lungs. Jasper tried to get on stage.
“NO, JAS-BILLY, STAY HERE. PLEASE. DO NOT TRY TO GET ON STAGE. LOOK AT HOW CLOSE WE ARE!” I said loudly at him.
“I want coke, I’ll be right back!” Sarah yelled at us.
“She wants coke NOW? TAYLOR SWIFT IS ON STAGE AND SHE WANTS ****ING COKE!” Sam complained.
“I know,” I said.
I looked over to see where Jasper was at. He was out of his seat. He must have left when Sam and I were talking. Damn it Billy!
“I’ll be right back. I have to get Jasper off stage before he gets taken away from the security,” I told Sam.
“Okay, go ahead and help your lover,” Sam replied. I grinned. He was close to getting on stage. I ran and then I grabbed him before he got on stage. No one seemed to notice.
“What are you doing?!” he yelled.
“What are YOU doing? We’ll see her later! I promise!” I said.
“You promise?” he turned back towards me. He stared into my eyes to see if I was serious or not. I continued to stare back. I almost forgot to respond.
“Yes! Let’s get back to our seats,” I said.
“Fine,” he said disappointed. I grabbed his hand as we walked back to our seats. He didn’t seem to mind it, thankfully. We got back to our seats. Jasper was busy staring at Taylor. “I saw your holding hands with Billy! How adorable!” Sam said.
“I know,” I said. I looked back at Jasper. He had the biggest smile on his face I ever saw anyone have. I smiled back.
“I still say it’s looooooooove,” Sam said.
“It has to be,” I said.
“Where the hell is Sarah?” Sam asked.
“I don’t know,” I said. Sarah came back a few seconds later.
“Where the hell were you?!” Sam yelled.
“Getting coke. I got 20 bottles,” Sarah said happily.
“Yeah that’ll last what? Two hours?” Sam sighed.
“I say less than 2 hours,” I betted. Picture To Burn ended and then Should’ve Said No played.
“This is so my song!” Jasper said to me.
“I know,” I said. I’m glad everyone was having a lot of fun. I looked over at Sarah and she was sipping her coke. Jasper started singing along to every song.
“OMG!” Sam said.
“What?” I asked.
“Sarah already finished 4 bottles!” Sam screamed.
“Holy crap, Sarah!” I said. I had to watch my mouth cause of Jasper. Sarah grinned.
“Fine, I’ll get some rum!” Sam said as she started to walk off.
“Wait!” Sarah said running behind her.
“What?!” she said loudly. Sarah handed Sam a fake ID. She’s really only 20, but for today she’s 21.Sam grinned then ran off to get some rum. Sarah walked back to her seat and drank some more coke.
“You should’ve said no, baby, and you might still have me!” Taylor sang.
“YAY GO TAYLOR!!!” Jasper yelled. Taylor heard Jasper and she looked over at him and smiled.
“OMG TAYLOR LOOKED AT ME, ALLIE!!” Jasper yelled.
“I know,” I said. A few seconds later he was losing his balance. Oh god, he’s gonna faint. I grabbed his waist so he wouldn’t collapse on the floor. He re-gained his balance.
“What happened?” he asked. I let go of his waist.
“You almost fainted,” I said.
Sarah laughed. .Taylor Swift’s performance ended so quickly.
“Will we see her now?” Jasper asked me.
“No, after Rascal Flatts’ performance,” I said.
“Fine,” he sighed. I wonder if a kiss would make him feel better. Eh, not the right time.
A few minutes later we heard the loud guitars of Me & My Gang.
“Where’s Sam?” I asked Sarah.
“I don’t know,” I said over the crowd.
“There she is!” Sarah said pointing over to Sam. She walked back to her seat quickly.
“I got rum!!” Sam said.
“WOO!” I said loudly. Rascal Flatts came up on stage.
“omgit’sgary,” I squeeled.
“Look! There’s Jay! He’s rarely in any of the music videos,” Jasper said.
“I know,” I said. Then they started the intro to Melt. My heart started to beat extremely fast.
“MELTTTTTTTTTTTT,” I screamed.
“I love this song,” Jasper said.
“Yeah,” I said.
“I melt, every time you look at me that way. Anytime anywhere. This burn in me is the coooooooooooooooooooooolest thing I’veeeeeeeeeeeeee evvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvver fellllllllllllllllllllllllllllt. I meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllltttttttttttttttttttttttt,” Gary sang. I couldn’t help but stare at Jasper. This was..his song. His love song. The song he wanted to be at his WEDDING. And how secretly..this was our song. He didn’t know that, though. I started crying. I didn’t know why I was crying.
“What’s wrong?” Jasper asked.
“I don’t know,” I said. Jasper felt bad because I was crying. He didn’t pay that much attention to me, of course. He was watching the concert. I still continued to stare at him. I can’t do this. I can’t tell him..I..just can’t. Sam saw me staring at him.
“oooh,” she said.
“Whaaaaaaat?” I said quietly.
“staaaaaaaaaaaring at Billllllllllllllllllllllllvyyyyyyy,” she sang.
“shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” I said loudly. The song was almost over.
“Sam, should I?” I asked.
“YESSSS, do you want me to push you?” she asked.
“Yeah,” I said grinning. Sam smiled then told me to stand somewhere at a certain spot. Sam was half-drunk from all of that rum, so it wouldn’t seem like it was planned ahead. Sam bumped me and knocked me into Jasper’s arms. He grabbed me and made sure I didn’t fall.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let you fall,” Jasper said. I grinned. I hope I’m not blushing. Jasper didn’t push me away, for some reason.
“Don’t know how you do it, I love the way I lose it every tiiiiiiiiiimmmme..and what’s even betttttttter is knowing that foreveeeeeeeeeeeer you’re all miiiiiiiiiinne,” Gary sang.
“The closer you get, the more my body aches,” I sang.
“One little stare from you is all it takes,” he sang along. I continued to stare at Jasper. Slowly, I brought my head closer until our lips met. It was a slow kiss, but it was still a kiss. damnn..he’ssuchagoodkisser.. Our lips parted slowly. He was still holding me in his arms. I smiled. He didn’t say anything
“AWWWWWWWWWWWW HOW CUTE!!!!” Sam screamed. I didn’t even notice that Sarah was gone. She came back with 6 more bottles of coke.
“What happened?” Sarah asked.
“ALLIE AND BILLY KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSED,” Sam said to Sarah.
“REALLY?! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!” Sarah yelled. I blushed then looked down. We didn’t say anything to each other for the rest of the concert. That didn’t bother me, though. Why would he kiss me if he didn’t love me? So, I’ll just think that he really does..because I probably AM right.
