New dining plan question - premium and/or platinum?

Okay, here's another twist on the dining plan for DVCers. Will we be able to get the Premium Plan (3 meals a day) or the Platinum Plan (3 meals, snack & ROOM SERVICE and good at just about any TS or CS place on site, incl. V&A) added on the same way we'll be able to add the basic plan?

Just wondering. We did these plans a few years ago and quickly learned we can't eat that much food or do even close to everything that's included. And they're pricey. But Enquiring Minds want to know. The "packages" include a whole bunch of other stuff - tours, spa, shows etc.

I have a feeling most DVCers will stick with the basic plan - that's what most members will want or need. But you never know!

I honestly wasn't aware that there is anything but the bacis plan being offered. I have read thru Disney's official literature and don't see anything to the contrary. It appears the deal is: 1 Table service meal, 1 Counter service meal, and 1 snack. No mention of upgrades at all. I do know there used to be. I guess I could be missing something though.

Check Disney's official website. These options are offered when you start the booking process. :earsgirl:

I have the feeling that DVC only negotiated for the basic dining plan. It has taken them over a year to get that into their system.

Don't get me wrong...I live and love to eat. But even at my most gluttonous (sp?) there is no way I could eat 3 meals a day plus room service?! Heck I do well at WDW if I get 2 meals and a snack in...and yes I did make ADR's as soon as allowed...so it is planned!

That was my major problem on the Premium or Platinum plans. By about the third day I began to feel like, "Oh NO, do I have to eat again??"

I have to admit, though, that the pre-paid room service was pretty nifty. Our 10 yo son ordered a lobster - at the GF. It was the biggest lobster I've ever seen in my life. I think we got our money out of that one.

Enjoy your trip!

DisFlan...okay...I changed my mind...it is worth it just to eat lobster in your room at the GF! :goodvibes

I have to agree I am struggling to fit a table service meal and a counter service meal into each days plan :sunny:
