New decision to make

I can rent points at BW from Dec. 25th-Dec. 30th for the same price I can get Dolphin Dec. 22-Dec. 28th.

If I go with the BW it is only 5 nights. It is about 100.00 less than Dophin for 6 nights.

What would you do?

I don't think that the Dolphin is considered as an on site resort for EMH is that matters to you.

That's a very busy time of the year - I'd go with the 6 night option. And that way you don't have to actually travel on Christmas Day either.

I would be quite surprised if there is still availability at the BWV for that week - if the person renting you points doesn't already have a reservation for those days, BWV may not be an option.

Do you already have the Dolpohin reservation made? At least as a back up? It could come down to where you can book. Possible neither will be available if you don't already have reservations.

Yes it is -

Guests staying at Walt Disney World-owned Resorts, Walt Disney World Dolphin & Swan Resorts, Shades of Green and the Hilton Resort at Downtown Disney can all take advantge of the EMH program.

The Swan and The Dolphin are not resorts owned by Disney, but they do participate in EMH. You cannot charge back to your room from the parks and restaurants (though S/D room keys can be used to charge form locations within S/D). The extra day would be good for the crowds at the time you are going. As far as S/D I have stayed at the Dolphin and found it just as wonderful as any WDW resort hotel--in some cases even nicer.
