New D23 Expo Superthread! (6/24/2019)

Did anyone manage to get into the Movie Rewards event? It was gone when it first showed up -- which is so like a D23 event, isn't it?

I got one redemption through, but when I tried to get another redemption the system wouldn't let me because it was still processing the first order.

You also have to call customer service to complete the process.
 


I just got off the phone after verifying my order to the DMR event. Thanks again to @DLandgirlie for posting the link.

Do you know if the confirmation is limited? Or are you assured a place if you got the confirmation email. Trying to figure out if I can wait till lunch break to call.

Also, my email didn't say how many tickets I got. Is it automatically two?
 


Darn it. I got sidetracked with a problem here at work and did not get to pull up the site in time. Oh well, this will make it easier to do the expo on Sunday and then go in the afternoon to the parks like I originally planned.

Now, I just have to make sure that no one distracts me on Friday when I try to do the expo reservations. I am planning a late lunch so hopefully it will be okay.

They are going to send an itinerary at a different time.

FYI They asked for mine and my guests age to make sure that we were of legal age to drink (Although she only took down my guest info after I reminded her). She said something about Lion King and Aladdin but I didn't really hear, did anyone catch anything about that?

If you got an email confirming your redemption went through, I think you're fine to call later to confirm your details. And yes, ONE redemption is for TWO tickets. The only stipulation is that one of the tickets must be used by the DMR member.

That Lion King and Aladdin mention was about going to the movies to go watch them.

They didn't check my age, but I too, had to remind them to take down my guest's info. LOL
 
Ok I don't know how this person on twitter found this link to the page but I did a Twitter search and here's the link:

So its 150pts to redeem. Four tickets per person.
The event starts at 7:30pm-9:30pm
Guests will be escorted from DCA to DL for a reservedseating of the 10:30pm Fantasmic show.
Checkin starts at 7pm, no accommodations or travel included. It does not state valid theme park admission required. So the tickets include theme park admission.

I've never heard of this type of event from DMR.

Guess I'll set my alarm...
I was on line prior to 8 am. When 8am came, found the link and stated already Out of Stock at the bottom of the page. Then the banner was pulled and page pulled and about 50 minutes later it was back up saying Out of Stock at the Experience page and link. I figured they pulled it since the description never mentioned needing Park tickets or not (which it should have included) .... oh well no tickets for me. Makes me even more nervous for the reservation system for Expo this Friday......

I'm so sorry to hear this...and this happened to my husband and I too! When we got home yesterday and checked our mailbox which is locked as well and all that was in the manila envelope was the letter but NO badges! We ordered the 3 day badges too! We contacted D23 and they said they would escalate it to the ticketing team, so let's hope something is resolved. I'd be okay with the will call tickets than nothing at all, we're flying in from Washington so we have this whole trip planned around this expo...and this would be our first time at the d23 expo, my heart is broken! I'm seriously in disbelief that this happened but those envelopes had the WORST adhesive... they need to fix this issue for future years to come.


So I just heard back from D23. They told me we can pick up new badges at will call. I replied back to them and said that will not work for me. Will Call means you will have to line up, in a line that is now going to be much larger due to the amount of badges need replacing, obtain your badge and then get in the back of the entrance line behind those who were lucky enough to get their badges in the mail...like we should have had.

In my reply I told them they should just rush the delivery of new badges to us all right away. This is there mistake by cutting corners, they have to pay for it. I told them if that is not an option, then they can refund me and I'll do something else in SoCal for the weekend. Been to all the expos, this will be the last.

Block your calendar with a meeting that starts at quarter to the hour and lasts an hour.... :mickeyjum
 
My badge is stuck in vacation hold and I was able to look it up this morning and activate it. Very easy process. Thanks for all of the great info everyone!

Same for me - I was able to redeem one but not the second because it was processing, then sold out.

Did anyone receive the follow-up e-mail after completing the confirmation phone call? The cast member on the phone said I would receive an e-mail with details about the event, but I haven't received anything yet.
