Maybe we should all write Disney and complain. The thing is, they probably won't care, because if we cancel our ADR, someone will snatch it up in a second.
Here is the trio dessert (sorry it took so long to respond)
Chocolate Mousse was just that chocolate mousse, hint of coffee
White Chocolate wafer
Fresh fruit in creme (tasted very much like vanilla pudding)
French horn stuffed with chocolate - very good, VERY small
We have a dinner booked before MVMCP. I'm seriously considering cancelling with all the bad reviews I'm reading. The only reason I booked it was because my girls are doing BBB that day as well. We did CRT for lunch last year - 1st time. Eating in the castle was pure excitement for my girls, but the food was just o.k.. My husband said once was enough, but I convinced him to go this year since the girls will be decked out after BBB. Now the prime rib is gone... he will not be happy ...what to do????
For what they charge, I can't believe they removed the prime rib /I had that our last two times and it was great This new menu has absolutely no appeal to me at all I won't be booking it with those changes
These are my sentiments exactly......the prime rib (along with the salmon) was the reason I booked CRT for our December trip on our MVMCP night. Once I found out these two things were removed from the menu, I cancelled and booked something else. This would have been our first time eating in the castle, but none of the choices appeal to any of us and I don't think the new menu is worth 2 TS credits or what it costs if paying OOP.
I think Disney's hoping the atmosphere and characters will be enough to lure people in, so they removed items from the menu.
Like I said, the 1st time we ate there, we hardly thought it was worth 1 credit for dinner, let alone 2 (we were on DxDP), and then in March we ate for dinner again (used TIW), and we had a great experience - food, characters, seeing Wishes and service were great.
With removal of food items, we won't be back either, Tiger
Ate at the castle last Sunday night. This was our 3rd visit for dinner (4 visits total including breakfast). Not only did the menu change, but the food was AWFUL. DD ordered the "fried chicken" (more like roasted chicken), DH/DS/and I ordered the Roasted Beef Tenderloin. There was nothing tender about it. Dry, dry, dry. Desserts were mediocre. The only thing we enjoyed was the Shrimp Cocktail and Cheese apps. What a disappointing waste of 2 credits. Sad since we've always enjoyed dinner there. The experience caused us to end up cancelling our Thurs breakfast. We won't be going back anytime soon.
I am completely bummed as well. We are booked there for lunch after my daughter has her BBB appointment on our first MK day. We were so looking forward to the prime rib. I think we'll go ahead and keep our reservation because we've never been there before and my 6-year-old will love it regardless of the menu.
