New country in WS

Is there room for another country in WS??

I would like to see Australia. Not sure about focal point - maybe Opera House with a movie inside or Ayres Rock that you could hike to the top of for awesome views (imagine Illuminations). Definitely restaurant serving shrimp on the barbie, emu and alligator (?maybe they only have crocs, and do they eat those?)

What country would you like to see added??

I think Australia w/ an opera house would be really cool... I've heard rumors of Spain coming to WS though...

There is actually room for a number of countries in WS. Spain is supposed to be coming (on the site of the temporary exhibit they had for the Food & Wine Festival). The trading post was to be the site for Equitorial Africa, but that fell through.

I'd also like to see the rides that were planned - the Rhine River in Germany and "Meet the World" in Japan (the buildings were built, but are now storage I believe).

Australia and Brazil would be great, especially as both of those countries attract visitors to WDW.

During Food & Wine last fall, there was an Australian food kiosk that actually did have shrimp on the barbie!

I agree there is room for new countries and the ideas you all have are great but there is one prblem that has been debated on these boards before.....funding/sponsorship. The problem is that the government of each country is supposed to provide funding thru sponsorship for their pavillion which over the past 10 years has been a problem.

Instead of new countries they should try updating the exsiting ones because Italy,China, Japan and Canada are BORING

I wish the Millenium Villiage was a perpetual rotating exhibit. A regularly changing selection of countries would remove the financial burden of any one country having to build and maintain a permanent exhibit. And there would be a fresh variety for visitors more frequently. The rotation would also make for more innovation in displays and representative activities rather than running the same cute but limited ideas indefinately.

I love WS and would like to see new countries being represented.
There are so many possiblities. Almost any South American country, Greece, Turkey! I would also love to see a Native American Pavilion but realize that would be almost impossible to accomplish for many different reasons; so many different tribes and also the funding. BUT, I can dream!

I think they should make things for the existing countries. Every country should have a ride or a movie or something to do! Italy could have like a gondola ride or something...it would be fun

Maybe the Mashantucket Pequots could fund a pavilion. They are the owners of Foxwoods Casino!
