New construction at Pop?

Last week I saw what appeared to be construction equipment in front of the unfinished Pop Century buildings. Has anyone heard if they are going to finish this section of the resort?

That would be nice - they could use the extra rooms.

Last I heard they would all be suites.

I was there on Monday and drove by again today and did not see any construction going on. I pass it everyday on my way to and from work so I'll keep you updated if I see/hear anything! It would be great if they finished them

I saw the equipment also. It's hard to see. You have to look quick-between an opening in the trees. No activity, no workers, just Bobcat-like equipment, but it was there. It would be nice to see the rest of the resort completed, wouldn't it?

I'd guess they're probably going to tear down the partially completed construction. From what I've heard, it's been sitting there exposed to the elements for many years and is pretty much trashed. Maybe they'll start over again, maybe not.

There is no consruction or demolition of any kind going on there right now.

Construction equipment, busses, and other vehicles are often parked on the unfinished side of Pop for storage, because the unfinished side has completely finished, paved parking lots with plenty of space. In the past there have even been tents set up there as staging areas for special events or upcoming construction projects.

This topic comes up periodically as people see things going on in the lot over there, but there's nothing to get excited about until there's something to get exceited about.

Stayed at POP for a couple of nights and yesterday walked down to end of parking lot where the unfinished buildings are located. Looked through fence and nothing going on. Looking at buildings reminds me of sci-fi movies where humans suddenly disappear and you see unfinished food and drinks on tables, etc. It's like the workers just suddenly vanished leaving these unfinished buildings (whick I guess is bascially what happened, just no aliens involved).

Disney should turn it into an attraction!
I'd queue 1-2 hours for that!
