New codes

Any word on when/if they might be out?

Would like to see some for October, but nothing doing yet.

I've heard the end of July is usually when Oct-Dec discount codes come out. Patiently waiting here too.

The Fairytale Package that expired in June applied to October, so I'm afraid I may be the bearer or bad news. I personally don't expect anything new to come out for October, but I've been wrong many times before (someday I'll be perfect).

I would be very surprised to see any new codes come out for October 2003.

in 2001 the codes for oct-nov were out by now. not sure about last year, but i booked AP rates for November around the last week of June/1st week of July in 2001.

i'm also not expecting any codes for that time frame, but hey i could be wrong.

I, for one, am expecting codes for Sept-Oct-Nov. This is due to the following:

1. Attendance is not currently up to expectations for this time of year.

2. It has been reported that FTP has not appreciably increased bookings for the fall season.

my CM friend about it. My mom wanted to know too so I was going to ask anyway.

She said she wasn't that close to it in her department but here's what she did say:

"I think we are going more and more with general domestic offers."

I'm trying to find out exactly what that means.

A few weeks ago I wrote a letter(snail mail) to Al Weiss, President at WDW, about room only discounts. A couple of days ago, I received a phone call, from a lady with WDW. She said they are very aware that room only discounts have taken a back seat to the FTP package. She did not promise room only discounts, but said if I have an AP, look for the next Mickey Monitor. We'll see if that means anything.

i too am waiting for ap's....when does the next Mickey Monitor come out? I am waiting to buy ap's until i hear something about room discounts too...

Amee, I'm not sure when The Mickey Monitor comes out, but I think it is around the first of the month.

My son and DILaw were able to get room only discounts for Thanksgiving 2002 the last week of July last summer.

The Mickey Monitor is the newletter that is sent to Annual Pass(AP) holders. It has been my experiance that you have to be holding an active pass and not just a voucher to get the Mickey Monitor.

The codes for 2002, as Mousesavers indicated were released last year on July 22. I remember, since that is my wedding anniversary. Last year it was a Monday, and I got up right away to get a code for our December vacation. I do remember that there was a "teaser" on Mousesavers about the codes being released that day.

If attendance is still down they may do something. Right now I have FTP, but would rather get a room only code and purchase AP's.

If I remember correctly, the July 22 code was a general code not AP. The AP rate came out later and was about $5 cheaper per night at the WL (our reservation).

We are going in the early part of December, and I too, am holding my breath for "room only" discounts. Last year they offered rooms at Animal Kingdom Lodge for $119/night. I am hoping for something close to that again. Keeping my fingers crossed.
