I just spoke with someone from the Disney Club and she said the new codes for both CRO and the Disney Club WILL be out tomorrow for travel through December 25th!!

Well, I hope it's true! I didn't find anything in the newspaper today, though. I'll be calling in the morning to make priority seatings anyway, so I'll be sure to ask!

Thanks!
Beth

Checked Mousesavers this AM and it say to check that site tomorow ,July 22, if your planning to go to WDW between Oct.3rd and Dec. 25th. Think its the 25th,didn't pay close attention as we are going in Oct. Anyway, I believe tomorow is the day :) Which board do you think we should check 1st? Mousesavers, or the official Disney World site? I've been checking the Disney World site lately, but unlike Mousesavers, they only list one special at this time, for the WL campground. Mousesavers has so many other codes and savings listed all the time that I'm wondering if that would be the better site, but then again, Mousesavers has to get there info from Disney World to begin with, I know, I'm driving myself crazy at this point:D And to make matters worse, I have to drive DH to the airport at 6AM tomorow , and then have to head to work myself. I'm having DD check for me ,and am driving her crazy too, with all my instructions!! Hope we all get the hotel we want and at a good price:) What time does CRO open?? And,more importantly, what time would the codes/discounts come out in the AM???

I hope its tomorrow, as I heard it was Aug. 1! Hope its true, I need codes too for Nov.;)

I have booked my December trip through AAA travel services. Will they be able to take advantage of the new codes? I don't want to cancel with AAA because my flights are out of the really cheap fares and I don't want to have to rebook on my own. I don't think AAA books with CRO, I think they go through WDTC. Any clues?

Thanks,
Kim

Here's what Mousesavers is saying:

Going to Walt Disney World between October 3 and December 25? You won't want to miss the big news here on MouseSavers this Monday, July 22. Stay tuned!

Hmmmmmm . . .keeping my fingers crossed!!!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I'll be up bright and early checking mousesavers. I wonder what time Mary will have her site updated? Does anybody know what CRO's hours are?

CRO opens at 7:00am Eastern. Not sure of closing time, maybe 10:00pm.

I have one night at CBR in December with a 20% DC discount I'm hoping to do better on. Then we move to BWV for 6 nights with DVC.

I don't see where it says that on mousesavers- abiut checking tomorrow. Is it under the resort section? Help!

Hi Daisies500, It's at the top of her main page, not the resort page. Good luck!

The message has been removed. It was in the Resort section and now it is gone. I have refreshed my screen several times and it is not there.

This may be a silly question, but...
can we just call CRO tomorrow at 7am and ask for the new discounts or do we have to have an "actual" code, which we would get from somewhere else, to apply to our reservations???

I read on another post ,about the codes, etc., that Mousesavers originates on the west coast, California, I think. Anyway, because of that, the poster said that the site isn't updated until about 10 or 11 AM EST. They,Pacific time, are 3 hours behind us. Another thing to worry about:rolleyes: Where would we, on the East coast, get the codes early(7 or 8 AM)?I don't think the the official Disney World website carries codes. Also, just checked Mousesavers, the announcement about "going to Disney World Oct. 3 through Dec.25" is still on the first page.

Thanks for the help- I had long ago bookmarked the resort page section and was unable to get to the main page from there, for some reason. Karenski- I don't think the three hour time difference should make such a huge difference. The only people that will probably be jumping all over the codes will be the people here on these boards that want to go in that three month time period, and maybe others who check mousesavers regularly. There must be thousands and thousands of rooms. It's obviously a good idea to book tomorrow if they have what you want and it's a good deal, but I don't think rooms will be selling out under the codes in one day. They probably won't even show up in national papers until next weekend.

Me, I haven't even asked (begged) my husband yet to go in October- I've been preparing my speech (what it will cost, how we can afford it, etc). I hope these codes are helpful! :)

Thanks Daisies500, I was worried about room availability because I booked CR back about Jan.'02. I called back around May, called a number of times, to get another room for DD and DSIL and was always told that they had nothing left for our dates. I guess maybe they might hold rooms until codes or discounts are made available, but why would they do this? Wouldn't they want to sell as many rooms as they could at the higher rate??

Hmm...I think the codes are usually to help them book up rooms that are still empty. If you have existing reservations and they've told you that there aren't any more rooms available in CR for your dates, than I think you need to assume it really is booked. The only thing you can do is keep calling in case someone cancels. I thought you might be making a new reservation with a discount code, or looking to save on a current reservation (which, of course, you can try to do....you may not be able to book a NEW room with a code, but they may apply the discount to the room you already have as a courtesy). Perhaps if there are available rooms somewhere else (like the Poly or GF, if oyu are lloking for a monorail resort), at a great discount, you might want to rebook so the family can be with you.

Good luck!

I guess maybe they might hold rooms until codes or discounts are made available, but why would they do this? Wouldn't they want to sell as many rooms as they could at the higher rate??

Obviously they would but keeping the hotels near capacity has all the other spin off effects .... patrons eat, drink, play and spend at Disney ... so meals, tickets, merchandise etc is where theyll make it back ...

Their mission is to get you to the hotel cheaply but have you pay full at the gate or restaurant or store... plus once you have a taste of on-site, you're hooked. They generate alot of converts and repeat business this way.

Why do you think there are so many code watcher out there? :)
