New Code

Just got off the phone with a CM. I asked her to please check by my name and see if there were any codes. YEAH BABY!! TOUCHDOWN!! WE HAVE A CODE!! However, this code is so new that there was nothing down loaded into the system for her or anyone else to give me any info about it. She said that I should be getting either a card in the mail or an email about this in the next few days. Has anyone else had this to happen to them? She said the code itself was put beside my name yesterday and she even gave me the code -- but no info behind it.

I called today to maybe move my vacation from March to May & they gave me FREE upgrades on my MYW hopper passes to include the water parks & more for FREE for all of us plus took off $200 off my package.She gave me a 3 letter code & it worked.She tried several other codes but they had expired but I did get a code today to work.I am excited as we have never done the water parks before or Disney Quest so my kids will be estatic plus we saved another $200

well heres the deal when i booked this trip for March last week I asked if there was a code on my name & there was I got excited until I gave her my dates & she said they were black out days.Oh well I want to go from March 12-19 so I book anyway no codes no nothing. So over the weekend I say to my kids well maybe we can rebook for May & get the 40% off code.So I call back today & say when I booked I had a 40% code & I want to rebook for May.She said the code did not extend that far but found me a new code that upgraded our park hoppers to the waterparks & more tickets plus took off 200.00 of my package price.I was sooooo excited because we have never done the waterparks or Disney Quest.

Many have said they asked if there was a code beside their name when booking a trip. Do I have this right...my name should be in the system since I went to WDW in 2006 and 2007? Therefore, my name could potentially have a code?

May depend on the CM. When I booked my ressie, I asked and was told no (this was last Sunday); the next day on Monday I had the 40% off postcard in the mail.

I've been waiting for this code with the free parkhopper & waterparks. In 2006 & 2007, Disney offered this same special in February & March for travel in May (& possibly April).

Codes are often attached to someone's name and you might not get an email or postcard, for instance if you've moved or if your address wasn't entered correctly, or if your name is somehow attached to the wrong household. I was told once I had an expired code, for instance, that I hadn't known about. Since codes come out randomly and can be assigned at any time, anyone can get a code, or several codes attached. Just ask the CM to check for any and all codes that might apply to your ressie or requested dates, or if a code would apply if you're flexible with dates. They are not allowed to offer a code or discount unless you ask for it. Once you ask, it's their job to check for both public and personal codes/discounts. If I worked in that area I'd think it would be fun to find some magic for callers.---Kathy

If I do, does dreams unlimited get access to these codes or only when phoning disney reservations themselves?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to update you on the "new code". I called back today because I hadn't gotten an email or a postcard in the mail about the code that I was given over the phone a few days ago. The cast member that I talked with today told me that the code I was told was mine was actually someone elses who lives in Arizona that has the same name as me. I'm sorry I don't know any more details about this code. I'll just keep hoping that we see something come out soon that we can take advantage of for our upcoming trip!
