New Code "could save" me money...

I have the code. I think I want to switch to the AKL from standard room at WL!
I think I will save money but the site is down AGAIN, unless I am doing something wrong. I wanted to put my info in and get a price then call my TA and let her make the switch.
BUT am I losing a possible room by waiting?? What should I do, any suggestions?

What are your dates because standard rooms have sold out for WL for most dates in Oct & Dec.

contact your TA and let them take care of it if they can, the chances of WL standard view are slim.

Post your dates here and maybe someone here can see if they can get a price for you - I'd have no problem checking for you. Who's in your party and what tickets do you want? The Disney site is very temperamental!

Problem was solved, I called my TA and just let her work it out.
I had booked for Oct 21 for 7 nights at WL in May. But realized WL standard rooms were not acceptable for discount .
So my TA made a call, and switched us to AKL and saved us 600.00!!!!!!!
Both rooms were standard view, so I don't know why no discounts on WL standard view??
This is our very first trip to DW. (Me, DH, DS, and DD) So we really are relying on this board for alot of our info. It seems to me that its kind of a toss up on AKL and WL, each have its own advantages and disadvantages. AND for 600.00 I'll choose AKL's disadvantages, lol!!!!!!!(and seems like a very few)

That's great news, WL standard view is very popular but AKL looks great too and I'm sure you will love the resort and saving $600 makes AKL an even better choice.

me-cinderella mentioned the pros/cons of WL vs. AKL and I just wanted to put in my 2 cents. I'm from Montana, so I'm actually biased against WL. To me, it's decor is modeled after many of the old Nat'l Park hotels in my home state. I'd much rather get a chance to stay somewhere as exotic as AKL. Granted, I've never had the pleasure to stay at either, and nothing Disney does is halfway but... Americans like myself could go to Yellowstone or Glacier parks in the USA and get the real experience. I'll probably never see Africa in this lifetime. Just a thought.

Wow that is an awesome point. But for us it is the opposite. I used to live in Idaho and I miss being able to head to Yellowstone so a stay at the WL is a kind of back home treat for me. But I agree, I have stayed at AKL as well and it is just as spectacular and I too will probably never get to go to Africa so enjoy your stay I mean heck, you will be at Disney World so it has to be great right?
