New code, big savings

Thanks for your response, SG...I will look into it, but I cannot imagine it being less than $121 a night. Thanks for helping, though!

wildernesslodgelover, I checked the site for you and the only cheaper rate I saw was for military. I would venture a call to Disney and ask about the code and see what theysay. Mousekeepers says it is for value resorts but you never know. Well worth a call IMHO.

Hope this link works. I ventured it just for you. LOL

Who says you cannot teach on old dog new tricks? LOL

Thanks SG, I will look into it. I have found that you have to get just the right CM to get things sometimes! Good job posting the link...I have never learned how to do that, either...but you give me hope! LOL!

wildernesslodgelover, no problem, it was incredibly easy thanks to the great people at the DIS. You just 'copy' the url and then click on "http" on the top of the message page and then copy and click ok.

It is not that I am stupid or even lazy just the fact that I am a 'tweener". My friends and hubby are all a lot older than I am so I am the one to drive and do for them and then I have six grandkids and volunteer at the Community Center to teach reading to children in this small town so I am always running here and there. I only have one close friend my age and she is going blind so I am driving her also. I have to get some healthy friends just in case I ever need a ride. LOL

I think you are right about the cm. I have often had to call several times to get what I want. My friends and family who are too busy have me do it for them too. Gosh, I are either a very nice person or a wimp. (scratching head over that one)

I used BAS on my YC portion of my upcoming trip and saved over $400!!

ok, so I just call the 800 number and ask the CM to apply the BAS code to my existing ressie at AKL? Is that how I word it?

Yep, what travellingtigger said. (smile)

What is the worst thing that can happen? You have heard no before and who knows you just may hear YES!! (crossing my fingers for you)

Just an FYI for anyone curious. I called to see if this would save any more money on a deluxe resort, and it does not!

bradpierce5, just curious. Could not help noticing your name. Might you also be known as Chip and could you possibly have a grandma named Sarah? Is a small world and all things are possible. If so, please pm me. I am a friend.

Shucks, darn. Was too good to be true. Did you know that your namesake did the voice over for Chip in Beauty & the Beast and was in Jumunji and other movies? He is currently working at DL somewhere last I heard. His grandma and my mom were best friends their whole lives.

Glad to know you also. :sunny:

DH and I had already reserved a room at Pop Century for 3 nights at the end of October using our AP discounts for $69/night. We called several days ago and were able to apply the BAP code instead, which brought the price down to $55/night (Regular season, not Value season for our dates). That's an extra $42 to spend on food and wine at the festival!:p

floridagirrl2, we did likewise but since we have 16 nights we saved over $250. Life is good.

Grrrr! Bradpierce is correct...I just got off the phone with a CM... BAP or BAT will not help me with my AKL rates. My FL ressie rates are better.

Thanks for your help anyway, SG and all!!!

wildernesslodgelover, do not give up. The October codes were so late in coming out that I did not really think I would get anything better than what I had but it happened. Just keep checking Mousesavers everyday until you leave and if you have a laptop take it along and check while there and you just might get lucky. You just never know.

Thanks SG...but do you REALLY think there is a possibility I can do better than AKL at $121 a night? $134 with all the taxes and stuff. I remember one time last year when AKL was $109 a night, but that is the absolute cheapest I heard.
