New chef at California Grill?

Am I correct in reading that the old chef from Jiko is now heading up the kitchen at CG? If this is true, how is the food, has the menu changed (not seeing one on allears since 12/08 which looks pretty similar). Any chance that yummy Jiko filet might find its way there?

Where did you read that? I couldn't come up with anything on google. I did find that Gary Kaikaka, the CG chef at least in Oct, won a Sante Service Professional Award for outstanding achievement in food, wine and spirits service.

I don't think there will be too much Jiko influence coming to CG, the new chef was only very briefly at Jiko, I think a bit over a year, or so.
