New Character Dining: Time For a Change?

I'd vote for Pixar characters if they have a new character meal in DHS.

I think everyone's ideas sound great! Pixar and Villians at DHS. Pirate's at MK. I think the most awesome idea mentioned so far was the "Be Our Guest" meal with Belle and Beast. Even though I enjoy many of the character meals now available, I too would like to see a change for awhile.

So accordign to the poll, people here prefer the pirates, followed by Tink in a distant second. Im cool with pirates and so are my two girls, but how do we lobby Disney to actually do somethign like this? Any clues?

They had a Toy Story character breakfast years ago at Disney Hollywood Studios. Don't know why they did away with it ?

Does anyone remember the Pocohontas/Meeko breakfast at the WL years ago too ?

I remember meeting Meeko at a DHS breakfast YEARS ago! But I don't think it was a Pochahontas meal, I think it was like Meeko, Aladdin, Genie, and a few other characters

I think either a pirate only or a pirate and princess meal would be a great idea. Something for everyone.
I thought I remebered reading in the Unofficial guide that they used to have a villains meal and it had to be cancelled since it freaked too many kids out. I know my chicken dds would not want to meet Maleficent.

I would actually LOVE to see some kind of villian character meal.

But since these were my options, I think I would enjoy the pirate themed one, especially for all these little boys having to sit through their sister's princess meal in the castle

We have given up on character meals since DS was about 12. There simply was not anything but Pooh for boys. I would love the POC movie meal and the Pixie Hollow meal. DS would go ape if they had a Nightmare Before Christmas meal. Star Wars would be a cinch since they already have the fab five costuming for the Star Wars Weekends. Pixar would be a good boy's meal too.

They had a villians meal once. It was the best of all the character meals we ever attended. They discontinued it because it scared the younger children. I doubt Disney would ever put an age limit, but the disclaimer not for younger children did not work either.

I would not mind a mystery meal either of 15 rare characters that could appear but not promise who would be there any given night.

Definitely a Pirates theme for me. We have a daughter, and a newborn son, and frankly, I would love to see something geared more toward boys. (Although our daughter would absolutely LOVE a POTC themed meal, hehe).

My other thought on this would be to place it in the Magic Kingdom, somewhere in Adventureland. While MK is a favorite, the dining choices leave a LOT to be desired, IMO of course.

My oldest daughter would go for Tinkerbell and the Fairies, my middle daughter would want Peter Pan, Cap. Hook and Mr. Sneed. Why can't they combine the 2 together. Tinkerbell is part if Peter Pan. That way 1 meal would be for boys and girls, and I would only have to go to 1 instead of 2. We always allow the girls to choose 1 place to eat each time we are there.

Or another fun idea would be a Pixar breakfast. Woody, Buzz, Flik, Atta, Remy,Mr. Incredible, Sulley if possible...that would be fun.

I agree, I would love to see Buzz and Woody at a character meal. DS is too old for character meals now, or so he says, but I would've loved to have seen him with the Pixar characters when he was younger because he loved them so much.

I didn't vote for any! I think they should do a "dog" theme. Then they could have Lady, Tramp, Lucky and Bolt!!!!! Now how cute would that be - they could even do that song "who let the dogs out". Then it could be said that Disney was really going to the dogs!!!!! I forget though - is Bolt a Disney dog? If not, then what about those adorable Chihuahuas?

I would be really interested in seeing a Pirates of the Caribbean, Captain Hook, Mr. Shmee type character meal . They have lots of character meals geared just towards the girls and plenty for both boys and girls . That I would love to see one for just the boys and this would be perfect for that

The only dogs they have are Pluto and Goofy. Lady and the Tramp, and Bolt, dont walk on two legs. Actually, neither does Pluto, but...

I agree with those who have said they need to add a "boy" character meal before creating yet another one geared towards girls. I'd love to see something either with Pirates or with Pixar heroes.

Well, talking seriously, I would like a pirates CDE. It would be great for boys!!!!

Or maybe the Power Rangers, Star Wars, .............. but pirates should be a hit.
