New Character Dining: Time For a Change?

Any news that Disney is planning to introduce character dining with Tinkerbell and the Pixie Hollow fairies? They have not changed the character dining reportoire for years. Two years ago I did the entire Princess dining with my 5and 3 year old but they are moving into Hannah Montana and Disney Fairies now after spending three years toting Princess Babies around and playign with the magic kingdom castle. How long before there is a Tink character luncheon? Anyone?

I think Tink would be a fun idea, but they really should do a character experience with pirates and peter pan and hook, things that are triggered more towards boys. They really have nothing just for boys. We have a daughter, but man I'd love a dinner with Jack Sparrow

absolutely! WDW has so many things targetted toward girls with the "boys are welcome " tag (Like BBB and the tea party) but why not have some boys things where girls are welcome too besides the pirate cruises...

Pixar characters would be fun. I don't think Hannah Montana would work at all - kids would show up expecting to see the real Hannah Montana!

I think a Pixar crew or a pirate theme would be great! I have a feeling that on our last trip we dined at CRT and H&V for the last time- they are losing interest!

Pirates...fabulous idea. Think they should do it at Liberty Tree Tavern. Bring back the colonial Minnie & such for lunch, and then do Jack Sparrow & crew for dinner.

Pixar breakfast would be very fun too.

Hannah Montana would be a total waste of character meal. By the time they got it up & running, she'd be gone. She is a passing fancy, and she'll fall out of favor soon enough (well, hopefully she'll just grow up and not go the way of some previous Disney teeny-bopper stars!)

I have a boy and a girl. Need a meal that caters to both of them at the same time! They have a pirates and princess party, why not a pirate and princess meal? Maybe have a couple of princess out first and then the pirates come and chase them away (or at least to the other side of the room?)

They had a Toy Story character breakfast years ago at Disney Hollywood Studios. Don't know why they did away with it ?

Does anyone remember the Pocohontas/Meeko breakfast at the WL years ago too ?

I voted for Pirates. Only having a DS this is something I think the boys and girls could both love. My DS says he would like a Star Wars dinner.

I voted Pirates....I always loved Peter Pan, but was never interested in any princesses-except Sleeping Beauty. I'm a huge fan of the Pirates of the Carribean-it was always my favorite ride and one of my fave all time movies!

I would love a new character dining! Maybe a character dining with characters you don't see out in the parks as much like Hercules or Villians or even more Beauty and the Beast (The Be Our Guest Breakfast/Dinner)...love the Pixar idea, Toy Story idea, and Pirates idea for sure

If I remember correctly, the consensus was that the best ideas for boys (and girls who weren't into the princesses/fairies) were a pirates meal, a Star Wars meal and a Pixar meal (characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles, etc.).

We did the Pocohontas/Meeko breakfast at WL when our kids were much younger. DS (25) and DD (almost 21) would have been around 12 and 8. The CM taught us all how to fold our napkins into Meeko ears. Nothing like having a party of 5 sitting around a table with napkins on their heads. We even made ears at other meals when we had linen napkins. DD fell in love with John Smith. He really interacted with all the women at the table. It was one of the best breakfasts we have ever had at WDW.
