New Character Breakfast coming to the Boardwalk

With my daughter, if this is any sort of a reasonable price we will be doing this.

WDW Magic is saying it is a "Royal Couples" breakfast. Flynn and Eric at a character meal? I am all in.

I understand why families with kids enjoy the character meals but this is now one more breakfast place off our list. For some places, like Cinderella's castle and Akershus, I wish Disney would consider one meal a day or a couple of days a week without the characters and with a better menu.

I know but I can hope. Perhaps there are other families like mine that want to go to these places but without the chaos and noise that comes with the characters. I still remember how much we loved breakfast in the Land when it was the Good Turn Restaurant. Booths were dark red velvet and there were white linens on the tables. They had the best board of pastries and a scrambled egg in puff pastry with asparagus that was wonderful. Actually dinner there was great too. They had a linguini with shrimp, carrots and zucchini in a garlic white wine sauce that we loved. I never got the official recipe but have been making something like it since then.

You are preaching to the choir, reverend...

The 70's-90's food was the best and honestly what made me a huge fan.

But it's fallen off the cliff since...ridiculously overpriced - no worse than character buffets - and the "crapitization" resulting from the dining plan and the reservation system.

I am glad this is a bit different than others with it being the couples and not just the Fab 5 or Princesses

Did not in the blog it says "featuring popular characters from favorite Disney stories like “Tangled” or “The Little Mermaid.”" ... so wonder if it means it will be rotating/varying the characters as it says "or" not "and" (or maybe they just haven't settled on who will be there and those are just examples of the types of characters that could be there)

I really like captains grille...I like that they have a buffet and a la carte option...

Kouzzina was kind of a disasterous partnership and wasn't popular...from what it seems...I did enjoy it though.

Agree. This takes away a nice, quiet breakfast place at BW. Especially convenient for those staying there (or other resorts around the lake) on their way to Epcot.

Any idea when ADRs will start for this? I can't get anything there for breakfast for June. (Dinner is very open though.)

Mixed feelings. My wife and I always stay at Boardwalk and it was nice to be able to walk in Trattoria whenever we felt hungry enough in the morning for breakfast. Probably won't be able to do that anymore. On the other hand, would love a character dining experience with Flynn and Rapunzel! Adore them both.

We called dining as soon as we read the blog and they didn't even know about it yet! Kind of bummed because we are going March 6-11 and the article said in spring so probably going to miss it
