So I just had my interview with Danielle (I believe), and as some of you know I have Character Performer down as my top choice. Well as the interview came to a close, she told me that there's another new rule in the CP:

Upon finishing your phone interview, they may choose to pre reserve a spot for you in the program in one of your secondary roles ahead of time, so that if you audition and you don't pass, you'll still have a spot in the program, and if you do pass the audition you just simply drop that secondary role and become a character performer.

IDK about you, but I am absolutely ECSTATIC about this!!! :jumping1:

Time to start looking for that purple folder in a few weeks.... :cloud9:

That is FABULOUS news! I honestly thought it was going to be bad news when I saw the thread title (because apparently I'm a pessimist? :sad2:) but ... YAAAAY!!!

Toffy, I will have Danielle for an interviewer. How was she? Is she nice?

She was very laid back actually! She was still figuring some technical things out while we were on the phone, and like I said, I was her first interviewer, so she was a little understandably disorganized and *possibly* even mildly nervous, but when I had my brief little freak out moment she was totally fine with it, she laughed when I attempted humor, and was so very gracious while she figured out various issues, and is even going to call me back about the questions that came up that she didn't know the answer to :goodvibes:cheer2:

Aww they didn't say who mine would be :[
It sounds like you had a great interview though Toffy!! Do you know when you'll be auditioning?! And will you find out if you got into your second choice before you audition?

^Actually yes, they said to look for the purple folder in 3-4 weeks!!! Another thing she said that entertainment was considering doing was having all the auditions around the country happen on the same day for one collective selection round... this being said, I'll *probably* end up auditioning in San Fransisco since it's the closest, but if they choose to go the old way of starting on the East Coast and working their way out I might fly out there first :confused3

Oh my gosh! Thats amazing news! I know before, this was a deciding factor for many many people to audition or not. Yay Disney for changing this!

Definitely!

I wish I had known this beforehand, I would have opted for Character Performer as one of my roles.

I wonder if I can add it in my phone interview?

I'm sure you can as interviewers add people to QSFB during the interview if theyre up for it. When you tell your interviewer your top three, express why you didn't put character performer down and verify that your specific interviewer will hold a place for you elsewhere. Since its a new addition to the process, not all interviewers may be savvy to it. Definitely ask about the place holder before you add it.

Let us know what they say!

i didn't put character performer as my role, because i was afraid that if i waited for the audition and didn't get it i wouldn't get in the program, is it too late to add that to my list? lol

but congrats on that!
my phone interview is tomorrow,

soo....what kinda questions did she ask??? :D
