New cancellation policy

I feel dumb for even biting on this premise that this was a free pass. You are so right. It could simply be an easier way to cancel last minute. I could see them giving a pass on an ADR for 1 but honestly why should they in a bigger party waiting until last minute to change their mind?!
I have since read it was a glitch on another board here…. Either way I stand behind charging $10 up front per person to reduce hoarding

The reservation reminder about my Sunday 11/6 dinner reservation just arrived from Disney. It says I have to cancel at least one day prior or I'll get charged $10 per person.

It probably is to help free up the phone lines, since they're short-staffed (AKA having problems finding people to work less than market wages)

Just checked my MDE account for my ADR for Sunday night at Topolinos Toledo. It doesn't say anything about the change. I'm going to keep looking to see if the policy has been changed on the website.
FYI I made a reservation today at Sanaa for end of Dec, and it still has the same language in the email about the one day prior cancellation. I also checked the Disney FFQ, and it says to just refer to the policy at the time of booking. Maybe if someone happens to call Disney Dining, they can ask if there will be an actual change to their policy or it was just a glitch.

Yes, automating as much as possible makes the most sense and it makes it easier for guests. Just kicking myself for thinking for a minute that this was a real thing. There is a reason I stopped following most park "news" sites ... they are click bait without research. :rolleyes2
