Hey! My name is Leanne and I'm currently on the program. I found out a couple weeks ago that I'm going to be a campus representative next year and was wondering if anyone else on here was too! :)

Me! Lol, I was accepted as a Rep for Indiana University next semester. When do you have Marketing 101? Mine is on Monday.

I was a new rep this past recruiting season :goodvibes
I had such a blast! :rotfl: I am doing the cp again in spring of 2010 and after that I am going back to being a rep

I just finished my first semester of being a campus rep here @ Appalachian State University.

I'm a rep! I started at the beginning of this semester after my Spring '09 program and I'm continuing as a rep next Spring.

i have a question about campus reps, how often do you have to apply to remain a rep and how long can you be a rep?

You apply once and then you have to reach a certain number of points to remain a rep (2500). You have the option to continue as a rep at the end of the semester if you achieve the required number of points. You can be a rep until you graduate school.

For each activity you accomplish as a rep (i.e. putting up posters, attending campus presentations/meetings regarding the DCP) you receive points. This is basically your work as a campus rep, to promote the program. Instead of getting paid money, you get paid points. You must receive a certain number of points to remain a campus rep which is 2500. However, that's just the minimum. You can receive well over that number (and it's very easy to). Once you obtain a certain number of points, you get rewards. For example, certain number of points can give you complimentary park tickets/resorts stays/spa treatments/etc. Each activity you do as a rep is worth a different point value. For example, collateral (posters, door hangers, table tents, etc.) are 10 points each. Attending an on-campus presentation is 100 points and reaching your presentation goal is over 1000 points.

You can, yes. There is a website for reps that we use. For every activity we complete we have to submit the activity. Some activities do request you to take photos - others just ask for a summary of what you did. Your recruiter looks over the submissions and either accepts or declines them.

Not that difficult. The application process is similar to applying for the DCP (before the web-based interview). You have to fill out the application and send it in and then schedule a phone interview.

okay, awesome!
and i'm sorry, one last question! can you still be a campus rep if you change schools?

Have you applied yet? You become a campus rep through Disney and your recruiter. When you apply, you must provide a school for which you plan to represent. If you change schools during your time as a campus rep, you will need to see if the new schools supports the program - if they don't, you won't be able to continue simply because they don't have a rep program. However, if they do, you will need to talk with your recruiter and ask about a location change.

ETA: You don't need to apologize for asking questions hahah personally, I LOVE talking about anything Disney :)

You're welcome! And I knew I wanted to be a rep afterward as well :) Just keep your eyes open for when the apps come out. I'm pretty sure last year they came out around April. And I'm entirely jealous that you are starting your program in 3 weeks. I miss it soo much!

I have heard of people being a college campus rep for companies like Amp, Zune, and Monster but just hear today that Apple also has college reps too.

Does anyone have any advice for me that will help me become an apple college campus rep, or at least where to find out more info for it.

YesIStillLoveDisney, I have mine today (Monday) too! In less than an hour! LOL :)
