New camper! So happy to be planning WL trip!

DH is on his way to pick up our 30 ft trailer now. Just bought it! The deal being, he gets his brand new trailer, I get another trip to DW but driving this time! We live way up in NB Canada, so it's a bit of a drive.
So, next sept/oct we will pull the kids out of school and head down.
I have been combing through these camping threads and am in awe over the campsite! We are over the moon excited! We have done ASmo 3 times and this year will be Coronado. Next year, WL camping!
So, I am pretty sure we'd want preferred, even though I am confused about the preferred and whatever the other preferred option there is. We want it all, close to everything, we want the golf cart,and I can't wait to decorate (even though we will only be there for 4-5 days!
I have read about the TOT...that sounds AWESOME!!! BUT! It's only on Halloween day right? Next year that falls on a Wednesday... so does this mean anything? Would they do it the weekend before?
I don't even know where to start with questions, what should be know?? Oh the boat rides vs buses? I am curious to know how long it takes to get to the parks?

Relax.
You have plenty of time to get your questions answered.
However, If you want Halloween 2012, you need to book ASAP.
The holidays are always a busy time at the Fort.
Getting that reservation is the first step.
Well, actually the first step is getting your camper. You have the handled.
You will have a great time getting it all set up.

It was just mentioned about going during Star Tours (Is this in May?) instead. Does it get busy during this time?

I don't know about that specific weekend. I'm sure someone else on here will be able to answer.
However, I do know that any special event always draws those that are lucky enough to live close for the weekend.

Congratulations on the new camper. May I politely point out that you will be camping at Fort Wilderness and not WL (Wilderness Lodge). Very important point when you go to make that camping reservation.
