Does anyone know if these new buses are operating at POP Century?

Also, how can you tell if it has a third spot available without going on the bus or even if you do go on the bus? I'm not being pessimistic, but I could see a bus driver not wanting to deal with three handicap vehicles and telling you to wait for the next bus?

There will be a few days were there will be three in our party that will need the service; so, I just want a step up on this situation. TIA

From what we've seen, there are only a few of these new buses, and where they are placed into service is completely random.

However, maybe if you called Disney transport at the beginning of your stay and let them know you are at Pop, and that there are three wheelchair users in your party from xx date till xx date. Perhaps a smart supervisor would make sure those buses are on the Pop route during your stay.

However, that would still be no guarantees that you would get one of those buses each and every trip as the buses are so dynamic.

There is really no way to tell from the outside whether it is one of the new buses. Obviously, if the bus arriving at your stop is an old RTS bus, then is not one of the 3-spot buses.

We came across the new bus for the first time when we stayed at All-Star Music over 4th of July. Was sitting there and looked down, and saw the extra tie downs on the other side of the row.

Here are a couple of pictures I took of that bus.

If you are at Pop, it will be a rare occasion that there won't also be other guests besides your party needing a w/c tie-down just due to the size of the resort and the amount of guests in general. You might want to travel at non-peak times of the day or if you're flexible, choose to get in a waiting line for a park where there are no other guests using w/c's. It would be a bit of a hassle to request one of those busses- you'd have to be at the bus stop at a set time, and if there were other guests who arrived before you at that stop, they'd be boarding before your party too. I hope things work out though for the best. Worst case scenario is that you have to wait for each other. Maybe plan a meeting place inside the parks so no one has to wait w/o something to do. Hmmm....gift shop?---Kathy

I know they used to have a special bus with a lot of wheelchair tie-downs, that you could request specially, but I think that they've been taken out of service. Anybody know for sure? Otherwise, as Kathy said, you may need to split up and meet each other in the park.

I just thought these newer buses were more plentiful. If we have to split up it's ok. We are actually lucky; because, we both have cars and for most parks we will drive there. I don't want to drive to MK and we'll go there twice. I think we can manage for two times.

I loved the pictures; special thanks to you.
