New building at AK - Dinoland - what is it?

Actually that new building is not new at all. It was the Theatre in the Wild Theatre where they did have the Tarzan Rocks show. They are enclosing the theatre to make it a new Finding Nemo show. So the building is not a new building but rather a building being re-vamped. :)

Uhh, yes, I mentioned that on page one.

I must say however that the theming doesn't bother me, just the gaming area. I also like the way they decorate for Christmas -- how tacky can you get?
I agree! Hate those games!!
Now if the put in a play area ..... with water.... like they have at Epcot...
That would be nice!! And it would be great for the kids to cool off.

MOST LIKELY THE BUILDING WILL BECOME A CONTINOUS MOVING RIDE LIKE PIRATES, HAUNTED MANSION ETC.

OR..... A RIDE SIMILAR TO DINOSAUR

I like this idea.

I'm with you guys, bulldozing the entire area and putting in a water hose with a spray nozzle would be an improvement.

They could say they were going for simple, and we'd be able to say they hit the mark!

You gotta keep Primeval Whirl though. I find that ride to be fun.

its funny, the comments about Dinoland..I thought it was strange too..I thought it was like a carnival within a carnival if you know what Im sayin?

reminded me of Fred Flinstone for some reason...

it was wierd though...

i just hate that the height requirement is so high in a kiddie area...makes me want to avoid the triceratops spin just so I don't have to keep saying "you're not tall enough yet" to dd4 over a ride that looks like a teacup variation to her.

I love Primeviel Whirl. I laugh the entire time I'm on it. But I really don't understand the height requirement. There doesn't seem to be anything to the ride and the restraint system is pretty secure.

Makes you wonder if someone lost a bet ("if I win, this one section will have a tasteful dinosaur exhibit, if you win, you can do it in Flintstones.")

I've posted this before and I guess its veracity is debatable, but I like the backstory that says dinoland was meant to be cheesy and, yes, even tacky, because it was "supposedly" thrown up over night when that wayward scientist broke the rules and brought the dino back!
