new blog: Must Disney Parks Do More to Accommodate Visual Impairments?

I think my comments on the post summed it up fairly well:
Ok, Disney does a decent job at accommodating most disabilities. There is room for improvement though, especially for the visually impaired. Most things are just basic common sense, for example at WOC putting people in wheelchairs and needing to sit on benches behind people that are standing is just plain stupid. Incidentally, this is also where they would put people with visual problems, which would just further obscure the show.
That being said, I noticed over this last weekend that there are places for service animals to relieve themselves, so that point should be nonexistent. As for maps, signs and menus in Braille, California Adventure used to have them posted around the park, but they have since all been removed and I do think that this is a shame. Additionally, Disneyland did offer free passes for companions of the disabled that required companions (with documentation) in the past; however, I do not know if they still do or not.
