Chapman University Press and Neverland Media announced today (June 6) that "In Service To The Mouse," the book written by
Disneyland's first president, Jack Lindquist, and Melinda J. Combs, will immediately begin a second press run.
The announcement comes just six months after the book was officially launched during mid-December ceremonies at The Nixon Library in Yorba Linda.
Kris Elftmann, CEOof Noelle Marketing Group, Santa Ana, who has been responsible for all printing, editing and graphic decisions for the book, expressed delight in seeing Lindquist's first writing effort reach this important plateau in such a short time. "Not only has 'In Service To The Mouse' appealed to the Disney fan market, but it has succeeded in crossing over to find new readers who have no direct association with Disneyland or its theme parks," said Elftmann.
"It is also gaining a following in the educational market from middle schools through universities."
Since the book's launch, Lindquist and Combs have participated in numerous successful presentations and signings at the Los Angeles Book Fair, Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena, the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, inside The Disneyland Resort, the
D23 40th Anniversary at Walt Disney World, and at Barnes & Noble stores in Southern California.
In the upcoming months, Lindquist will appear and do signings at the Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet in Seattle, aboard the Disney Wonder cruise ship in Alaska, the October Children's Miracle Network Convention in Florida, the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA) Convention on Nov. 17 in Florida and the fall conference of the California Travel & Tourism Corporation.
In addition to these upcoming appearances, "In Service To The Mouse" is available for purchase at
Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, inservicetothemouse.com, and on Kindle.
