New Beverage Menu for Disney Parks

One more step to the homogenization of WDW. I loved it when the bars had different menus and specialities. Now, its pretty much the same thing if you are in the Poly or WL or wherever.

yup.... i wonder if this does mean they're going to try getting rid of the remaining unique drinks like the lapu lapu?

Worse than that. Have you heard of the One Disney intiative?

On the blog the Rasberry Rain, rang a bell I thought maybe I had ordered it. The thing is I think I had it in DCA. When I was there they just got a new menu. The waiter said it was from WDW. This was about 2 months ago.

Funny enough here is a link with some menu shots. What ever happened to something as simple as seven and seven?

I think the 3rd paragraph could be interpreted that the price will go up
:thumbsup2
Those "Better for you" cocktail ingredients are much pricier than the former cheap "crappy for you" ingredients. I, for one, will gladly pay more for a salubrious libation:rolleyes:

The "better for you" ingredients have been around since October of 2009. This current "new" menu rolled out on October 1 2010....and the prices should be set till the next rollout next October.....

Each lounge is also allowed to carry over their own "signature" drinks, so the Lapu Lapu aint going anywhere anytime soon....

Phew. I've heard it has magical "better for you" ingredients:laughing:

For how many drunks I saw at the Food and Wine festival I'd say they are not charging enough.

Interesting. Now if they could only get better Beer---

If I could make a recommendation, head to either the Africa section of AK or better yet the "watering hole" at Jambo House AKL and enjoy a Tusker. It's a Kenyan brew that I absolutely love. Cheers!

...And if you book AKL CL, I believe they still offer it in the lounge fridge:drinking1

I noticed Drink menus being the same this past Aug. The first night we ate at Kona I did get a lapu lapu for the first time and it was awesome. A few days later I stopped by the Bar at FW. The drink menu was identical. I think the Lapu Lapu was on a separte menu at Poly. But the general drink menu was the same. I remeber when I last stayed at FW about 10 years ago or so, they had a speciallty drink served in a souviner cowboy Boot glass. Wish I had ordered one. I mentioned this in my letter to them stating how everything was so Generic.

Who wants a "DisneyParks" Jacket. (sorry to get OT)

Remeber the totem pole drink stirers at WL. Those were cool.

Been there and done that. Well-not at the AK itself, but I always get Tusker when I am at the AK lounge (Victoria Falls) or at Jiko. It is good, and the bottle is rather large as well!!
