I was in WDW middle of June and the Contemporary rehabs are under way. They have scaffolding up that you see as you enter on the monorail. If they start rehabs in Dec. I would think they would start with the less visible. I stayed at the GF while rehabs going on and it wasn't bad, they do section at a time and they have it closed off to guests.

Since the YC recently went through rehab, that could very well be possible. However, I think its a better assumption that its merely a rehab, rather than some kind of major changes going on.

I guess it will only be a minor rehab of BC.

I just came back today from the BC, and the lobby did not look worn at all. At some areas there was needed a little paintwork and so on, but nothing special at all.

Btw. i had room 4645 (lakeview, 4th floor near main entrance) great view, heres some fresh pics from BC (taken july 18-21):

We stayed at YC in June (exterior rehab was going on - didn't bother us at all!). We want to try BC next time!

I don't think a "soft" rehab would be inconvenient at all

I hope this isn't too off topic but talking about renovations made me think of something silly. While we were staying at the BWI last month dh noticed they were sprucing up paint here and there in the halls, etc. and he said it doesn't smell. It quite impressed him that Disney uses odorless paint. The things that will fascinate one of those mug men in the a.m. at WDW!

Learn something new all the time, I did not know they even made odorless paint. Wonder if it is more expensive, probably so.

Hi to one and all....

As stated, while I have very few posts, I am not new to Disney or to the boards. My first trip to Disney was in December of 1971. I stayed in the Contemporary and paid $32.00 per night. Dont you wish that was still true?

My source tells me this will not be a long term project, but there will be some changes made. I dont think it's anything to worry about.

I appreciate the kind words and the understanding that I cant divulge any information about the source of this info. If I did, I would not have any further access and would not be able to share what I hear. I realize this annoys some people, but it's a fact. Thanks for understanding.
