This will be our 1st trip with the new little one. He will be 13mths when we go. I really would love not to have to go back to hotel for naps. How has your experience been with your little one tryiing to nap at the park? Any other advice on baby issues would be helpful.

DS was 15 months on his first trip to the world. He had no problems falling asleep in his stroller...or in daddy's arms. In fact, on our first day in the Magic Kingdom, he fell asleep after breakfast at CRT and didn't wake up for 2 hours. We ended up going full steam ahead most days, and it didn't bother him at all.

The baby centers in each of the theme parks are a great place for little ones to unwind. There are also several off the beaten path areas (the path between Toon Town and Tomorrowland comes to mind) if your DS needs quieter areas in order to sleep.

Follow your DS's cues and you'll have a wonderful time! :)

DD#3 visited in June when she was 7 months old and we never went back to the room to nap. Since it was summer, we would try to find some place cool/air conditioned to hang out once she dozed off. There are lots of attractions that are nice and darkand air conditioned(Hall of Presidents, Spaceship Earth). The baby care centers are nice, although I only used the one at MK--she was nursing exclusively at the time so she and I both enjoyed a little nap in the nursing room ;) I took along a baby carrier (the Maya pouch) and that was a life saver. DD#3 has not taken to the stroller like the other girls; she prefers to be carried and it was nice to have for standing in line and other places where you can't take strollers. Like the previous poster said, just take your cues from your baby and plan on being very flexible....

Babies will nap when needed and sleep through all the noise surprisingly enough....here are a few suggestions though for great places to nap. (cool/dark)
EPCOT - France Film or American Adventure
MGM - Little Mermaid (although flashing lights may wake), and Animation Studios, Sounds Dangerous (no head phones)
WDW - Hall of Presidents or Carousel of Progress
DAK - Rainforest booths at CS

Also- you can always pull stroller into a shadey area or gift shop and find a place to sit and rest.

Hope this helps.

my youngest ds was 6 months the first time and 18 months the next time.
I have a Playtex Hip Hammock that he rode around in when I couldn't use the stroller. I took him on many rides in this thing and he loved it.

He also would fall asleep in it. He preferred the bumpy bouncing rides to the quiet ones!!

Good luck and have fun.

Is your baby a good sleeper? I haven't taken a baby to WDW, but I did take her everywhere else, and she was a great stroller napper. If yours isn't, you might consider bringing a blanket to drape over the sunshade.

One of ours have always been little when we have gone and it has been just fine! Our current trip tommorow, our littlest one is 14 months. They have always slept well in the stroller and the baby centers are great for everything from changing, feeding, or just relaxing a bit!
Don't forget lots of diapers, wipes, snacks, drinks and rain gear! I always bring a rain cover for the stroller! I am also bring a hip carrier (www.walkingrockfarm.com).

We went when DD was 13 mths and we never once came back for a nap..We ahve a double side by side stroller and even a few times DD4 took a nap in the stroller. The trip wore them out but they had a BLAST!!!

There are soooo many rides that you can go on that the whole family could potentially get a cat nap..LOL MIL had been there many times before so she mapped out all the calm cool dark rides for us to go on at DD's nap time.

How do you put a picture!!!

Are you kidding, I even take a nap in Hall of Presidents. That's a great 30 minutes or so. But as an earlier poster said, there are lots of places to just pull off under some shade and nap. But remember to bring sunscreen, and shade, and you may want to buy one of those personal fans, depending on the time of year you're coming.
