New Aulani pictures

Wailana pool:

Wailana pool cabanas:

Wailana pool rules:

The sign wasn't working too well the first day. When we came back at night, this was up:

Wailana pool bar, steps from the Wailana pool! :cool1::

At night:

Ulu Cafe entrance:

Ulu Cafe exterior seating (no interior seating). There are also plenty of umbrella tables nearby, and near the Wailana pool and pool bar. You can see the Wailana pool in the background, and the pool bar to the left. That's how close they are!

Ulu Cafe interior. Registers are to the left, out of view.

Thanks so much for posting your photos.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like there are three cabanas by the Wailana Pool as well as three cabanas near the Ka Maka Pool. If that is right, there are now 12 cabanas at Aulani. Before the enhancements, there were only seven cabanas.

Awesome photos, thanks for sharing! We'll be there very soon, before the official opening on 10/19. Does it look like everything will be open between now and then or will they close parts of it before the official opening? Don't want to be excited about the new pools and such and then get there and find out they are closed!

Appreciate the pictures!
Is there any information on the food available at Ulu cafe, or a menu board perhaps? I am curious to see the options (and prices!).
Thanks

Thanks for posting these great pictures. It really gives me a better idea of what the new pool area looks like.

There are 3 cabanas at Wailana, and either 3 or 4 at Ka Maka.

From my understanding there are 8 cabanas now. 2 near the Menehune Bridge, 3 near the Keiki Cove/Ka Maka Landing, and 3 near Wailana Pool (Adult Only).

Food at Ulu Cafe was a nice emphasis on fresh grab and go (Fresh sliced pineapple, salads, healthy sandwiches and wraps were right up front) plus a couple of hot entrees, like Hawaiian pulled pork. Tasteful single-serving desserts were featured and Disney baked goods were off to the side. Reminded me of a bakery/cafe, ala Panera. I think that Disney got the food just right here and are right on trend.

Jean these pictures are great!! Thanks for posting!:thumbsup2

Can't wait to see the new area when we are there in December!! The new counter service looks like a nice addition, with all the walk up and grab items it will certainly help ease some of the dining demand.

Do you know what the hours are for the Ulu Cafe? I remember reading somewhere that the Olelo Room would stop offering a continental breakfast once the Ulu Cafe opened. Has that happened?

Thank you so much for the photos! Can't wait to return in May!

Did they remove/relocate the original four cabanas that were located near the Waikolohe Valley Pool? If so, then Aulani would now have the same number of cabanas -- eight -- as before the construction began in September 2012.

You can see the four cabanas in this photo taken in September 2012 before construction began on the Ka Maka area.
