That is the old thread and it is not up to date so I am making a new thread so that I can control the thread and maintain the information.

The purpose of check ins are to show who is going, arrange meet and greets, get information relevant to trip planning, and even share a toaster or cab ride. Feel free to PM someone for a private meet and greet.

I will update this later with the usual info like ride closures, events and other information.

Closures and refurbishments

• I was at DLR on April 24th and the Golden Zephyr was down for unscheduled maintenance. The reopening is not known at this time and I will check later to see its status.
• Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill is closed from June 18th to September 14th. Start date will be once the Lucky Fortune Cookie is reopened then Cocina Cucamonga will be rethemed as a small Asian counter service.
• Enchanted Cottage is the snack bar at the Fantasyland Theater wher Princess Fantasy Fair is located. It is scheduled to be closed July 29 to November 17, 2009.
• July 27th is the beginning of a year long closure of the Orange Stinger while it is getting a refurbishment, new theming, and a covered walkway.
• The Opera House will be dark until December when Mr. Lincoln returns.
• The Vineyard Room is closed until October 3, 2009
• Souvenir 66 and Corn Dog Castle close June 1, 2009 and may not be back until 2011. You can still get a corn dog fix at the red wagon near Plaza Inn.
• Dinosaur Jack’s Sunglass Shack will be closed on May 26th, 2009 and the area will be used for the line for Mullholland Madness when that reopens.
  • Dinosaur Jack’s Sunglass Shack is scheduled to close permanently on May 26th, 2009. It will be the site of the line for Mulholland Madness when that ride is re-themed.
  • Souvenir 66 and Corn Dog Castle close June 1, 2009 and may not be back until 2011. You can still get a corn dog fix at the red wagon near Plaza Inn.

  • S.S. rustworthy removal is scheduled for removal September, 2009 and no later than March, 2010.
  • Removal of Pizza Oom Mow Mow and Burger Invasion, addition of a grill type of restaurant. Scheduled to start Fall, 2009 and finish by March 2010.

I am starting to try and figure out what days to do what. I am not sure of our final dates yet, as I just thought of adding on some more days!!

I have been trying to make up a June schedule so people can get an idea of what is what.

You can go to the entertainment schedule and set it for 10 days. That will show you each day that you are at DLR. Then you can see what is where, MM, and park hours.

Just subscribing to this. I decided today to bite the bullet and bought plane tickets to California. We are officially scrapping our FL plans and going to DL. We'll be there mid august, but I'm not sure of the exact dates that we'll be in the park yet.

There are so many of us staying at Hojo's in the first part of Aug. it would be great to meet some of you!! We'll be there from 8/5 to 8/8 with my bday being the 6th so that day wont work we are going commando that day open to close LOL and we will arrive around 1 or 2 pm on the 5th I'll make sure I have my LGM with me at all times even when we head to the pool and hottub!!
