New at this - please help!

We've only been to DW once (Wilderness Lodge and loved it), but are now embarking on a DW stay followed by a 3-day cruise. I've spent hours reading these boards - AWESOME! There are a total of 5 adults and 4 kids (one in stroller). We want to stay at the BC resort. Kids love pools and regular kid food. Already figured out not to buy travel insurance or transportation through DW. Should I book hotel and cruise seperately? Should I joint AAA or DC for discounts? Does anyone with kids know which rooms at BC would be better suited for kids (close to pool, etc.)? Should I book 3 seperate rooms? We're planning on going 3rd week in May. Open to any suggestions, recommendations and information.

Welcome to the DIS! Sorry I can't help with your questions. Have you read the Cruise Forum here? They may know better about the cruise booking part. We never get insurance for trips either, almost like betting you can't go! Someone here should be able to help with BC! We may be getting to CR about the time you leave !

I just got back from the Beach Club yesterday and I would definitely request a room close to the elevator. The halls are long and winding and a long walk after a day at the parks. The pool here is the best of any hotel in WDW. Your kids will love it. We got a great rate of $189 by watching for discount codes to come out on this web site. www.mousesavers.com You can do what we did if you know when you want to go just go ahead and make your reservation and then when a code comes out, call CRO and modify your reservation using this code and they will change your rates.
