new at&t unlimited plan

The new plan is 225 for 2 months and then drops to 180. For unlimited. But you need to have u verse or dtv

I've been with AT&T since the Cingular days. I have grandfathered unlimited data and at this point I'm just going to keep it as long as I can before they force me to stop!

Apparently AT&T's old unlimited data isn't really unlimited if you are having overages. We are grandfathered in on Sprints unlimited data and it is unlimited. I can stream 24/7 for a month and pay the same bill every time. When we upgrade our phones they try to convince us the new plans are better. Wrong, when I contacted a rep she told me to never get rid of our plan because it will never be offered again. I think we started this plan back in '04.

I'd do whatever saves you the most money.

After the hullabaloo about the slowdown, they changed their policy. They now won't slow your unlimited data unless you go over 22MB and are in a busy area.

This is good news. I was debating it. It is only $5 more per month than we are paying now (if we drop the iPad). I saw that is said it after 2MB it would slow, 22 is do-able.

Really? The Next plan is $160 for 4 lines for 15gb per month. That doesn't give you phones but if you pay $225 now, that should cover the phone costs as needed.

The Family Plan is $160.00 The Next plan is only a way of paying for your phone in installments.

I'm specifically referring to the grandfathered program. I can't say it's the same if you get a new policy.

The phones are what they are. I either pay them off over time or I buy them cash or look for them used. My phone is in great shape. I will do what I usually do, which is make it last as long as possible. I guess I knew that what I was looking at wasn't called the Next plan. The sales person just told me it was what they were offering in place of taking away the discounted phones. If I'm going to switch I'll spend 180. instead of 160 so all the lines have unlimited data as this offer won't be available forever.
