New ART routes

I'm curious to hear what peoples' opinions are about the new ART routes. We've been riding ART now since 2009 and I have my opinions but would love to hear others first.

Unless they have changed in the last few weeks, I can tell you that I was not a fan of route 6. The problem is they only run one bus so you end up spending a lot of time waiting. Plus the stop for route 6 is at the far end of the bus loop, so by the time you get to your bus you are almost out of the resort anyway. It doesn't really save much walking compared to just staying across the street on harbor.

Uh oh... didn't know they had changed! Guess we'll see soon, we'll be there in a week!

we use route 1 , and will be there next week, so interested in finding out if that route has changed.

I didn't find the routes difficult to use. We stayed along Harbor so we had the option of using 2 buses, 1 and 2. Unfortunately they came more or less one a few minutes after the other so it's not like they were staggered and if you missed one you would only have to wait maybe 10 minutes for the next to arrive instead of the 20-30ish it takes them to do a round trip.

You can always ask the drivers if you're unsure which bus you need.

We always have rode Route 8, with 7 thrown in if it happened to be sitting there. I always thought they had done a pretty efficient job. Sometimes they were behind but we didn't think it was too bad. Boy, this trip was horrendous. We were very frustrated getting to the point where we would ditch the bus, including actually being on the bus and bailing. I took a comment card from one of the buses and will be writing to ART and let them know our dissatisfaction. Like I said, we have been riding it since 2009. We were there last April, so they have changed it since then.

With all of the new hotels opening up I'm not surprised to see changes to the routes. Hopefully it means more buses not just more stops for each bus.

So far it seemed to us more stops and longer bus rides. It sure didn't seem like a positive change, but maybe they are still in the midst of it?

When did they change? Is there any way to know what the changes are?
I know they changed quite some time ago. Maybe a couple of years back?
We were on route 7 and they changed the drop off location to the far end. There were 3 stops on that route. As of Dec 2014, there were still just 3 stops

Just take a look at the ART website, it will tell you which route your hotel is on.

I can't remember specifics, but I think they changed them at the beginning of this year, so even if they made changes in the past they have been revamped within the last 6 months again. You can also get maps at kiosks, info centers and on the buses themselves for information about the new routes.
