New Area at Grande Vista... pool info ?

Hi -

We just booked Grande Vista for a few days for our trip at the end of June 2004.

I saw something on a thread a while back mentioning that the new area scheduled to open June 2004 will have a new pool. Anyone have any details on what this will be like ? Slide or lazy river maybe ?

We stayed there Aug 2002 and really enjoyed it ... kids are older now and I'm hoping the new pool will offer some additional excitement for them !

I too am interested in any info on the Marriott Grande Vista. WE will be traveling with our 6 year old.... It looks very nice. Maybe a little expensive?

I saw photos online that showed their pools, and the pool lounge chairs were all a bright teal green that reminded me of an old Howard Johnsons or Holiday Inn!!!! EWWWW!!! Have they replaced these?

When we were there in March, one of the maintenance men told us that the new pool will have a lazy river. (Don't know about a slide.) The lounge chairs were all white.

another site said June,2004. - but they mentioned that noone appear to be working on it - so it might be late????

the Marriott Grande vista is often on the site I listed....

Look 60 days before you are leaving and may sure you can't get a better deal here

sometimes at 45 to 30 day time the cost will go down further - but only at times....

If you see something you like I would go for it at 60 days - before then - the selection is not that great and I think the prices will go down.

I just booked for the end of June 2004 using the Marriott Rewards promo rate. You must book the reservation using your Marriott Rewards number (easy to sign up for if you don't already have one). Use promo code M11 ... we got a 2BR/2Bath for $137 per night. It's a great rate ! Hope this helps someone
