Eticket WDW is a new app for the iphone that includes a DVC point calculator. I like it's real aerial view map as opposed to the cartoon like ones of other apps. I also like the fact that I can see the hotels as well as the parks. The information on the app is provided by WDWinfo. I've only played with it for a few minutes, but I like what I see so far.
Anybody else out there have a WDW app addiction?

Ouch!

That is higher than a lot of apps!

Let us know if you think its worth the $5.99!

I'll wait for more reports before I spend $5.99. For $.99, I'm willing to try almost anything. For $5.99, very little.

I agree. Plus they've been pulled from the app store for some reason.

I read in a thread on the podcast board how the app was accidentally released before they were ready so that's why it was pulled. I've been playing with it for a few hours and here's what I like.
1. The interface designed specifically for the disboards. It was too much of a hassle for me to navigate the site on safari. Now it's actually enjoyable to check the boards from my phone.
2. The real aerial view map of WDW property. They did a nice job with that, and I prefer it to the cartoon like map apps that are out there of just the parks. It's just like google earth with all attractions, restaurants, shops, hotels, restrooms, and designated smoking areas marked.
3. The DVC planner is incorporated in the app. My only minor complaint is the planner wants you to input how many points you have. It's unnecessary when I'm just playing around trying to figure out point totals for certain dates.
My overall impression of the app is they've done a nice job. I wish this was out before I had separately purchased park maps and a DVC planner. I only barely checked out the itinerary feature, and I probably will not make much use of this feature. $5.99 is a bit on the steep side, but I think you get a nice number of features in this app. I probably would have paid $1.99 for the disboard interface alone.

I just downloaded the Disney.com app my dh loves it but I haven't had much of a chance to explore. It's free.
