I totally agree! I've been asked for my AP once out of probably 6 resort stays booked at the Passholder rate. I've never understood this. Also, I never respond to the threads asking whether people were asked to produce an AP at check-in. So many people try to beat the system.Susiesnowflake said:While these boards have made it quite evident that there are a lot of people cheating Disney, especially in regards to securing AP discounts without actually having APs, Disney has enabled this by not requiring verification of AP at check-in.
I do tend to agree with the OP~
IMO Disney is losing money on me b/c I am averaging about 15 days per year in the parks PLUS saving hundreds of dollars on their Deluxe accomodations - all with my $400+ dollar investment in an Annual Pass
.I'm buying my daughter an Annual Pass this summer and I think I figured that an AP for her was the same price as a MYW 7-day ticket w/ park-hopping option. It doesn't make sense! Maybe they're going to phase out APs altogether

to fully come on-line. I've also been reading that a lot of posters are still having trouble accessing the passholder section of the WDW website.
is my major sticking point...I wonder if you have to pay the fee even if you upgrade to a higher category room/resort?
