New AP rates are out!!

I was thinking the same thing! I booked POR with the AP rate yesterday, I did not add the DDP. I told the cm I was still thinking about it & I asked him what was the cut off point to be able to add it. He said 2 days before we arrive.

Now it looks like I won't be able to add it unless I pay rack rate? :confused3

The CM checked and AP rate with dining was available at Beach Club. So it looks to me there are only so many ap rooms with the dining package available. I just thought if you had an AP room of any kind, you could pay for the dining and add this and make a package. Bummer. Anyone else had luck converting an AP room to dining also??:confused3

::yes:: You can add DDP to your AP rate! DDP with a passholder rate can be added at any time - though it does turn your room-only reservation into a 'package'. Therefore, outside of 45 days, you will be required to make sure the deposit on file is $200. Final payment of the room + dining would be due 45 days prior to arrival. (If you make the change within 45 days, the full amount is due at time of the switch).

Hope this helps! :)

Thank you, this makes me feel much better! When/if I add it I will be within my 45 days so I will have to pay for all then.

Let's say I have a $1000 paid on my room only, when I add the DP will they add that $1000 to what I owe for adding the DPor will they credit my card & have me pay the whole new total? Hope that made sense!

Not sure, but maybe they simply change the status of the reservation - just like when you call to change a catagory or a resort?

Then you will owe the balance :)

I am hoping this is how they do it, guess I should call & find out.

Thank you for your help!

Not 100% sure, but 99% sure that they simply change the status of the reservation - just like when you call to change a catagory or a resort.

Ok I called & if I add the DDP this changes it to a package(which I did know), so my original reservation would be canceled & any money paid would be credited to my card. A new reservation would be made & the whole amount would be due(because I will be within my 45 day window).

He also verified that I could add the DDP up to 2 or 3 days before our arrival(he said 3 was much better).

Your welcome!

By the way, when I asked my terrific travel agent she did not indicate they would cancel one reservation to create a new one - she just said about the deposit needing to be changed to $200 (so if it was less, the balance would need to be paid) and the rest due 45 days out or immediately if less than 45 days.

I was told by a CM 72 hours prior to arrival was the latest DDP can be added....Oh!! So of course, whatever you've pd up to that time would go toward the new pkg?

Just read your update - hope that CM has it right becasue my understanding is it can be added any time up to 72 hours, so it would not make sense to credit all that money and start over!! Sounds awful if you have to lose what you've pd...

When I changed my May AAA room only to an AP package with DDP they credited my Disney Visa the deposit I originally paid and made a new $200 charge to my Visa.

I agree with you here!

Guess we will find out soon & I will post to let you know :thumbsup2

Thanks! Wonder of the same applies if it is already an AP reservation:confused3

This is exactly what the cm told me when I called. So I am not paying anymore on my room till I decide what I want to do.

I think it would because your changing from room only to package.

I saved twenty dollars a night for seven nights with the AP vs. AAA. I even added the DDP to the trip.:cool1: :yay: :yay: I went from FQ to Riverside which wasn't my first choice but close enough for my DW. I was wanting then WL but nothing doing. Did anybody see if they had anything for WL and how much. Thanks.

I had four nights booked 9/4 - 9/8 at WL woods view with free dining and was paying$1286. Am now paying $1028 (aproximately - can't remember exact dollars) for a courtyard view and the dining plan. So saved approximately $200 and got a better view.

Darn. No single night value rooms available for Sept 5th-6th. We're only driving down for the one day on Saturday, but a cheap rate might make going down Friday night worth it. Only moderates available though, so we can get a cheaper one night room off site even including parking. Oh, well. It was worth a shot.

Now they just need to announce the November/December passholder rates so we can "fix" our other two reservations. :)

Have you just played around with the dates/resort a bit? When I was trying to check availability for my dates, I specifically asked for POP the first time around and it showed nothing was available, then I just asked for "values" -- again nothing available, next I didn't put in any preferences at all and when the entire list of resorts came up, I clicked on POP...what do you know, it was available! Their system is so flawed -- it just drives me crazy sometimes.

Sadly values are not available for an AP discount till 8/9 and even then only sports is open at least till the 18th. I tried putting it in all different ways including with the dining plan and got nada. Bummer

Oops, the other poster was looking for September so maybe it will work for them. Hopefully they will release Pop for at least the end of my stay with a discount

We arrive late on the night of Aug. 5th. I have POR booked with the AP rate & I noticed this morning that ASMo was available for our 1st night. I now have that booked & then we will check into POR on the 6th :thumbsup2

Makes me feel a little better about paying for a room for just a few hours of sleep ::yes::

So keep checking, 1st thing in the morning seems to be good!

See post above, I just booked ASMo this morning for one night with the AP rate & this was for the 5th of Aug.!

Okay so the rate for the values is $64? Isn't that pretty high? I thought they would be at least $59 like the PIN code. $64 is only about 20%. I haven't done the math for the others maybe they are a higher percentage...
