Me to:thumbsup2
I changed my ressie twice to day. I finally told DD's that we were doing a split stay and asked then which pool slide they like better between POFQ and CBR and they both choose POFQ(they think its little mermaid slide). They didn't have my dates open with for AP rates but if I added 2 dates to my ressie there was a magical opening so I called and booked 4 nites and then the CM went back and dropped the first 2 dates:wizard: I'm telling you its magic.

Also she said some rooms have min.nights of stay attached to them.

We are booked at AS Movies for that time with AP dining at rack rate. Can we purchase AP dining if this discount were to apply to the room on our dates? Or does having a discounted room code for passholders prevent the purchase of AP dining? Thanks so much.

It can be added at any time to an AP discount - though it does turn your room-only reservation into a 'package'. Therefore, outside of 45 days, you will be required to make sure the deposit on file is $200. Final payment of the room + dining would be due 45 days prior to arrival. (If you make the change within 45 days, the full amount is due at time of the switch).

Hope this helps! :)

What's this? I didn't know that! I thought the Johnson's couldn't book a room with the Jones' pin code? So how does that work then?

Reason I asked is my Mom (same town, different address) just got the Dalmatian pin code card. Can I use it if I book her in my room? She may or may not go (bad health). What if she cancels? Do I lose the pin rate and pay rack at check in? Does she need to be there? What if I have her pin code card with me?

Help - I think I am on room rate crack! :hyper: :hippie:

(Well, someone's gotta work all the angles!!!) :rolleyes1 :cool2:
I would call and ask. I think she has to be the primary on at least one room.:confused3 I would call and aske what would happen if she got sick.

Good luck!!!!!!!!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Thanks for the heads up.;) I just called and have CR MKV tower> the AAA price is more than $100 less than the AP rate. :confused3 I tried to confirm this online, but the ap site is messed up right now. :faint: So keeping my aaa rate & bounceback at poly rate, which was also much less than the ap. :badpc:
mky:cutie:

Thanks from us, too!! Just called and was able to get WL Std, Sept 3-10, $144 before tax. That's almost $50 less a night than the AAA rate we had!

Did you try to add some date to the beginning or end of your trip? Sometime is will only let you book for certain dates. After you book that you can call and modify your ressie and drop the dates you don't need. This happen to me last wk but I guess it didn't matter since I changed resorts today anyways.
What are your dates. It seems like people who are going the first wk in August are having the hardest time getting the rooms we want.HTH

Yep. I know that trick! :thumbsup2 It didn't work, though. :(
I need Aug. 11-14. I just need those 3 nights to bridge between 2 DVC ressies. We have a fishing excursion booked out of WL, so I think we'll keep the room even though it is rack rate.
Of course I will keep checking.

My AAA rate is just over a buck higher than AP rate. I could save $10 by changing but it's not worth it. Last time I did that my ressie was screwed up when I arrived. They honored it, but I don't want to go thru that again!

I can't believe I am going again (3rd time this year). APs are so dangerous. It calls to me over and over from it's little protective sleeve. "Use me for just one more trip, use me for just one more trip."

Thanks for your answers...if you'll bear with me for one more question. On the AP site, I can get AS Sports for 5 nights, but not 2 nights. I see that some recommend booking online, and then calling and cancelling the days I don't need. Is this something that generally works? I don't want to do something that is frowned upon, although if they have length of stay requirements for these rates, it would be nice if they let us know that. I'll gladly play by rules I know. :)

Again, thanks so much for the help - any little bit saved really makes a difference these days.:)

:wave:Not crazy about booking Disney on line, so we check on line then call. Would not have a problem booking 5 ngts, then calling the next day to drop extra ngts.

I never give a cc, but ask them to hold the room and then call back before the deposit is due. Do not like the way Disney now has CM's ask for a CC without ever mentioning that there is a 14 day courtesy hold - unless a guest is arriving less than 30 days (unless the 30 day rule is now shorter).

Good luck and do whatever feels right - but honestly, do not think it is a big deal to cancel ngts the next day. We have booked more ngts to cover certain dates, then cancel any extra as soon as we confirmed air.

Hope it works out great for you! :)

Have you tried AAA again? Maybe they will have available if some folks were able to switch to AP?:wizard:

Some restictions are in place sometimes that require a minimum number of nights. It may be only at 1. Or it could be something like 3.

You should be fine doing that - I have done it many times - the only times I have ever seen a minimum number of nights was in conjunction with some packages.

I don;t have AAA, was waiting for AP rate, but can't get my resort/dates

does someone with aaa have the ability to check stuff online for me? then if it is a savings I could sign up for AAA...would that work that way?

You can try to call CRO and ask - some CM's will give you AAA rates, but do not request the member number until you book - others will not even check rates without a number - worth a try! Good luck!

I have never booked before using AP rates but I would like to know if after I made my room reservation I would be able to add the dining plan to my existing room only reservation???? thank you???

Couldn't convert my AAA rate to AP at WL Aug 11-15.
Was really counting on that! Nothing available?!?!?
