Yes, this is the answer. I am shocked, shocked that the OP did not read the 12 pages of terms and conditions. You had to check a box that said you read it. (just kidding)I believe the certificate you have now 'holding' the AP expires in 12 months. Once you activate it within those 12 months (by entering a park), the AP is good for 1 year from that date.
Lol…but don’t you just wonder how many of those things we scroll by and just hope and pray er didn’t sign away our first born! LolYes, this is the answer. My new AP shows up in my MDE app as well as what’s left onf a 10- day NE pass. What’s the easiest way to make sure my AP is the primary pass on my account and my NE passes don’t get used? Thanks

Go to GR and make sure it’s listed first. Also, make sure when booking your park reservations you book them with the AP chosen.
It used to be you had to go to GR to set the "priority" to the AP the first time you used the AP (i.e., each renewal anniversary also). Theoretically, they've fixed this by making us pick the ticket we are making a park reservation with. I have both non-exp and AP on my account and since I've had to pick my ticket, I haven't had any problems with the NE ticket getting pulled (before that - I had to watch the NE days like a hawk because Disney IT would pull from the wrong ticket about 50% of the time)
gotta love Disney IT.... I'm pretty sure that members of the DIS would fix these bugs for them if they ever asked.....Well, I had the issue in which it attached to the wrong thing and I couldn’t get in and it had to be fixed.
So, when I always confirm with GR when I have more than one!!
I have no doubt there are people who read every word of them, just in case they found some bombshell they could "expose" on social media or sites like this one. If they tried anything egregious, I trust the internet busybodies to have my back!Lol…but don’t you just wonder how many of those things we scroll by and just hope and pray er didn’t sign away our first born! It still can't reeeeaddd!![]()
like this post if this discussion about terms and conditions make you think of the spot on South Park scene.
So I shouldn't have an issue then? I have dated Tix for May that I made park reservations for before buying APs last week. I want to use those dated Tix and not activate the APs until December. It used to be you had to go to GR to set the "priority" to the AP the first time you used the AP (i.e., each renewal anniversary also). Maybe, but I’d still make sure at GR….So I shouldn't have an issue then? I have dated Tix for May that I made park reservations for before buying APs last week. I want to use those dated Tix and not activate the APs until December.
For some reason lately, abbreviations are throwing me for a loop, what is GR?It used to be you had to go to GR to set the "priority" to the AP the first time you used the AP (i.e., each renewal anniversary also). No. In order to pay the AP rate, and get any other AP discounts, one must have an active pass. They used to let you book the room before it was active, but not sure if that is still the case.Just purchased an AP after years of not having one. We have a trip planned for November at which time we will activate. My question is should we wish to take a resort only trip say in May would we be eligible to take advantage of the AP discounts on rooms without our pass become "activated"?
