New AP discounts starting Febr 6th, 2014 - limited time

"Chat" has a canned answer ready to "keep an eye out on the site for any changes" etc. and that I could purchase it through Member Services at the current price of $494.16.

The "current price" part seemed out of place as if the price was changing but they can't say.

Just got off the phone with Member Services. She said something should be posted anytime. She would not tell me what the new special is, but said she was not letting anyone buy new AP tickets. I said the DVC site would not load the AP ticket price and she said of they got that far already.
 

Guest relations here at the parks don't have any info either. I did return my recently purchased AP's and bought tix for this trip with no problem. I am so glad I saw this thread from disneygrandma last night, thank you!!
 
We leave for Disneyland Friday and head to WDW in June. I am interested to see what they offer the premier pass for as we haven't purchased tickets for either trip yet!

We have AP vouchers that we bought in December, but haven't activated.
You were able to return/exchange yours?Hopefully that's the case if the deal is better.
 
Man, I just bought my AP at DLR 2 weeks ago and it used FOR ONE DAY so far!

Talk about bad timing.

Although I'll be going to WDW for a long visit later this year. Wonder if I can upgrade my current DL AP to the Premier AP.

I hate to be Debbie Downer, but.... historically about half of what any CM tells you is gossip they got from a site like this. It's kind of a circular logic. ;) Person one sees something, they post on the internet, person two calls Disney and tells a CM about person 1's posting, CM tells her coworkers and by 5 PM it's "official" to someone.

Sometimes we get lucky sometimes we don't... :)

Yes we returned our AP's with our confirmation sheet at will call, we purchased them so close to coming here that vouchers were not possible. The guest relations CM just handled the transaction even though she knew nothing yet of the discount offer about to be released. For you I think it will be even easier since you will be exchanging yours after the new deal is public. Good luck!

Just realized we will have them activated prior to the 6th. Wonder if they would let us upgrade or exchange. Guess I'll wait and see.
 
Leaving in three weeks and have 7 day park hoppers so I called DVC Member services to see if I could ferret out the rumor mill. The annual pass DVC PAP would essentially be the same cost. The woman had no info as to any discount pending but kept referencing last years discount.

More than the inability to confirm the potential savings was her definitive foreign country call center feel. When did DVC outsource from Orlando. When I asked how the weather was in Sunny Florida today she said "where" and moved off subject so quickly.

Not being provincial, but I loathe overseas call centers.

Then I'll be in a situation of wondering whether they'll let me upgrade what I purchase since our first use will be Saturday. Only time will tell I suppose!
 
Just bought 3 AP's 3 days ago we have a will call # I hope they will let me use the "deal" instead since we are not going to be there until Feb 14th - Why didn't I just wait a little longer! I have 2 from last year before the price difference. If it is a good enough deal I may hold out on the ones I bought last year for sometime down the road. Hope they honor it!

I hate to tell you this, but I don't think they were "overseas" Just "at home" and "at home" might be Texas or California.
