New AP and got the new Band!

We just got our AP bands in the mail yesterday. All old style and all orange 2016 sliders. Makes no difference to me anyway. It's more or less just for looks. I would be surprised if you could get your discounts based on having it there.

Oh no!!! I wonder if there's a way to get the 2017 ones? Our next trip is in Feb.

wait until January to order your MB Disney may ship out the 2017 slider then. ( this is what I would do)

What do you mean by slider boxes?

The last 2 years the AP MagicBands have come in a really cool box-it had a separate "compartment" holding the MagicBand that would "slide" all the way out of the "Main" box.

Now they are gone as well as the nice separate boxes for the regular MagicBands according to reports.

Not sure how accurate it is, but we were told by several different cast members (at Guest Relations in the parks) that Disney is no longer changing the AP sliders and will just use the orange ones indefinitely (you'll notice there is no year on them). Guess we can wait and see what people receive starting in a couple weeks to see if that's true.

I have heard this too if it is true I hope enough people complain and they start sending out new one ( with the year on them) next year.
