Hi! I've lurked here on the disboards for a long time, this is my very first post!

My DH and I have been to DL many times, and this year have decided to get annual passes.

Can you help us plan the best way to purchase and redeem them? We have a Disney Store here in KC, if we buy them there, will we still have to go to the ticket booth at DL to trade them in for the real passes?

Any advice you can give would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I like to buy a park hopper and then upgrade so that we don't waste time in a line at the ticket booth to trade in a couher, and then you still have to go to the annual pass center. If you have a hopper, just go in and go straight to the AP center.

Forgot to add that by doing that, you may be able to take advantage of early entry and you won't have to worry about any blackout days (if you aren't doing premium)

ah unless you are staying at one of the resort hotels...then you get ee every day its offered through the length of your stay:goodvibes

We had already planned our first trip of the year (last minute) for this coming Friday - Monday. We were planning to stay at the Camelot Inn the entire time, but we are now checking out on Sunday morning, and staying Sunday night at the GC, thanks to the awesome AP rate of $209 for park-view room!

We were not planning to go to the parks on Monday, but now we might if we can get EE. How do you find out in advance what days offer EE?

Hi Vicki!

Just wanted to say welcome to the DIS, and the wonderful world of APs!!!!

Last minute trip, huh---you must have gotten a good DING! :thumbsup2

Actually it was a business trip I already had planned, and DH decided to tag along at the last minute so we could spend the weekend at DLR! Lucky him, he gets to go to the parks on Thursday, while I have to work!
