New annual pass with dvc discount

I am scheduled to close between 9/4-9/18 on VWL. I will be a new member. We are scheduled for a Disney trip from 9/5-9/12. I would like to covert my tickets to annual passes with the DVC discount while on my trip. Just need everyone to confirm my suspicions. I cannot do this correct? Not even with my closing documents as proof?
