I'm not sure if this has been discussed before (I couldn't find it) but I wanted to relate a conversation I had with a guest relations person a few days ago.
She explained that there was a new annual pass in the works that should be out soon. Here are some facts:
- It will cost about $280/year for both parks
- Free valet parking
- Larger discounts at stores and restaurants than the current preferred pass
- Free Express Pass after 4pm
- Free bottles of water
- Free access to CityWalk clubs
- Cannot upgrade your pass to it, if you want it, you must pay the full amount so you might as well wait until pass renewal time.
She said that the thing is that slowing the pass now is the free bottles of water deal. They are not sure how many they will give out per visit nor how to track it. Maybe they'll track it on the computer (requiring programming and code rewrites) or they'll give coupons (in which case they'd have to deal with people running out of coupons, losing coupons, etc.)
I for one am excited about this pass. I just wish you could upgrade to it, even if there was some kind of small "upgrade fee" since my current pass is good through February '07
