New animal at AKV?

A few weeks ago there was a thread about a new animal at AKV. I can't find the thread on the search. Anyone have the link? Thanks!

I don't have the link, but I've heard it is an Okapi. A beautiful and very rare animal to find in the wild.

Okapi, pronounced Oh-cop-ee. It's a member of the giraffe family.

No link but Okapi are really cool. Here's a link to info on them. They look like a zebra on the bottom, but they are actually a relative of the giraffe. We have them at our local zoo. The person in charge of the program here went down to AKL to oversee the savannah before they were introduced.

You have probably seen the Okapi on the safari at AK.
