New and needing guidance!!

I am a newbie-and I've been reading some of the posts. Planning a cruise in Nov, 2004. Getting a little overwhelmed. Sounds as tho a lot of you have this down to a science. I'll keep reading and getting tips I'm sure. One question for now-will be staying at Fort Wilderness 1st and then off for 7 day cruise. Somewhere along the line I've read that the DCL transport stinks. What are our options to get to the cruiseline from the resort? I'm sure I'll have many more questions. Thanks for your help!!

Towncar or Limo Service. Many operators in central Florida. You can rent a car for the day and drop it off at the port (heck if you have it for only two hours you may not pay for a full day).

Welcome to the DIS! We are staying at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge for a week and then going on the Disney Magic in April. We are renting a car for the week at WDW and then driving to the Port, turning the car in, taking the shuttle from the car rental place to the Port. You will find that Avis and Budget both have places very close to the Port for easy dropoff of the rental car. You might want to explore this option because getting from Fort Wilderness to the parks can be a very time consuming process (not the Magic Kingdom because you have direct boat access). We always like to have a rental car for that reason. We like to spend our times in the parks, not on transportation.
